Gentle Yoga with Yoga Nidra Meditation
With Grace Yoga
Gently reset, unwind, and reconnect with a sense of calm. We’ll focus on settling the nervous system, releasing tension, and creating more ease in both body and mind—conditions that naturally support deeper rest and better sleep. As the body softens and the mind quiets, many people also experience a subtle lifting of energy or “vibration,” not through effort, but through relaxation and presence.
The class will include about 40 minutes of gentle yoga practiced with an emphasis on body awareness. Rather than striving or overthinking the poses, we’ll move slowly and attentively, bringing our focus to breath, sensation, and subtle shifts within the body. As attention drops out of constant mental activity and into direct experience, the mind begins to quiet on its own.
This is followed by about 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra, practiced lying down in a fully supported position. In this guided meditation, awareness rests in the space between waking and sleep, allowing the nervous system to recalibrate and the body to settle into deep rest. The practice is inspired by the traditional 8-step method developed by Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
Just a gentle reminder that I have three dogs 🐶, so you may hear the occasional bark. Rather than a disruption, this can be an opportunity to practice staying grounded and returning to calm, even when life isn’t perfectly quiet.
