Listening to the Earth: A Rights of Nature Circle
With Taylor Short
Remembering our relationship to the Earth.
What if the Earth wasn’t a resource… but a relative?
In this monthly gathering, we’ll explore the Rights of Nature not as a legal concept, but as a felt relationship. Before policies and protection, there is something deeper…remembering that we are part of the living world, not separate from it.
This first circle is about returning to that remembrance.
Together we will:
• Settle the nervous system and arrive in the body
• Experience a guided meditation to connect with the Earth as a living being
•
Gently explore the heart-centered meaning of “Rights of Nature”
• Reflect on how we relate to land, water, and the more-than-human world in our daily lives
• Close with a grounding ritual to carry this connection forward
This is not a lecture or a debate.
It’s a space to feel, listen, and reconnect.
You don’t need to be an activist, expert, or nature lover already. Just come as you are, with breath, body, and willingness to remember your place within the living Earth.
This circle is for those who feel the world deeply, who sense something sacred in nature, and who are ready to relate to the Earth with respect, reciprocity, and care.
