Hello my friend,

Tonight we are going to meet a special snowman,

So get yourself nice and comfortable in your bed.

Under the soft glow of the moon a little snowman stood in the middle of a sparkling field.

His name was Solly the snowman and he had been built that very morning,

With a carrot nose,

Pebble eyes and a scarf as blue as the evening sky.

All day long children had laughed and played,

Dancing around Solly and giving him big friendly smiles.

But now the children were home in their warm beds and Solly was alone in the gentle hush of the night.

The stars twinkled above him,

The air was still cold and deep inside Solly noticed something new,

A tiny wish in his snowy chest.

I wonder,

He whispered softly,

What it feels like to be warm.

He looked up at the sky and saw the moon smiling down,

Silver and kind.

You can be warm too,

Said the moon,

Not from fire or sunshine,

But from love.

Solly tilted his snowy head,

Love,

But I'm made of snow.

The moon chuckled gently,

Love won't melt you little one,

But it will melt the cold inside.

And so Solly took a deep snowy breath,

He decided to try.

First he thought of the children who built him,

How they laughed when his carrot nose went crooked,

How they sang as they patted snow into his round belly.

Solly felt something soft and glowing begin to grow inside.

May they be happy,

He whispered,

May they feel safe and warm tonight.

A tiny shimmer of light glowed in his chest,

Then he looked around at the trees nearby,

Tall and peaceful,

Holding snow on their branches.

May the trees be strong,

Solly said,

And rest through the winter.

The light inside him grew a little brighter,

He looked up to the stars.

May the stars shine gently for everyone who needs a little light.

And now Solly's chest glowed softly,

Like a lantern made of snow.

He placed his snowy hands over his heart,

And may I too feel peaceful and warm tonight.

The warmth spread all through his snowy body,

From his round belly to his little stick fingers,

All the way up to his smiling face.

Now Solly felt calm,

The world was still,

And his heart was glowing.

And now it's our turn to do just what Solly did.

Place your hands over your chest,

Right where your heart is,

And take a slow,

Gentle breath in,

And let it go with a soft sigh.

And breathe in again,

Feel your chest rise,

Your heart soft and kind,

And breathe out,

Letting everything quiet down.

Now imagine that same warm light glowing in your chest,

Just like Solly's.

With every breath,

It grows brighter and warmer.

And you can whisper quietly,

May I be happy,

May I feel safe,

And may I be peaceful.

And now you can think of your family and friends.

As you think of them,

Say to yourself,

May they be happy,

May they feel safe,

And may they be peaceful.

And then you can think of the whole world and everyone in it.

May everyone be happy,

May everyone feel safe,

May everyone be peaceful.

The moon shone above,

Watching over Solly,

And everyone sleeping below.

The stars hummed softly,

And the snow sparkled like dreams.

Solly smiled,

Glowing gently under the moonlight.

He had found the warmth he was wishing for,

The warmth of kindness.

Good night,

Moon,

He whispered.

Good night,

Stars.

Good night,

Heart.

And the little snowman closed his peephole eyes,

Resting peacefully,

His heart glowing bright in the quiet winter night.

Good night,

My friend.
