Welcome to this winter solstice meditation.

Please find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed,

Turning off or silence any distractions and find a comfortable position either seated or laying down and softly close down your eyes.

We will begin by relaxing the mind and the body.

So wherever you are in your breath taking a complete full exhale now all of the way out and taking a long slow deep inhale as your stomach expands,

Your chest and shoulders rise and a complete full exhale releasing all of the air out of your body taking another long slow deep inhale feeling as your body expands and a complete full exhale releasing any stress and tension taking one more full inhale and exhale here in your own time and return back to your natural breath taking your attention to the top of your head as you relax the top of your head relaxing into your forehead as your eyebrows become heavy relaxing the muscles around your eyes softening your face unclenching your jaw allowing your tongue to rest away from the roof of your mouth continuing that relaxation down into your throat and your shoulders your upper arms your lower arms your hands and your fingers relaxing into your upper back your middle back and lower back softening your stomach allowing it to rest heavy and naturally continuing that relaxation down into your hips your upper legs your lower legs your feet and your toes as you are now completely relaxed you can take your attention back to your breath as you breathe in and out naturally i invite you to place one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach as you continue to breathe naturally we are in the time and the energies of the winter solstice the time of the shortest day with the least amount of light and the longest night with the most amount of darkness and this is a time for reflection a time to pause and it is also a time for renewal a rebirthing a returning of the light as you continue to breathe here naturally with one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach is there something you wish to reflect on is there something you are still holding on to something that you wish to let go of something that has had its life and now can have its death before the returning of the light whatever this is for you allow it to come up now and observe it observe from a distance with no attachment no judgment just a simple observation bringing in compassion and love in this moment whatever has come up for you just acknowledge it and reflect upon it for a moment reflect upon the experience how it made you feel reflect upon the teachings and the lessons and all that you have learned from this experience giving it lots of love and compassion with no attachment no judgment just simply observe whatever has come up for you now is a time to release and let go the days from now will become longer the amount of light we have will become longer the brighter days the brighter sun this is a chance for renewal a rebirthing a returning of the light and if this is something you do not wish to carry with you you can let this go now you can visualize this leaving your body your mind your soul your heart you can visualize this moving away in any way that suits you it can be colors shapes sounds it can have a physical appearance so whatever this is for you and however you wish this to move allow this to go now allow this to be released it no longer serves you you no longer need it you have the lessons you have the teachings you have the gold it is leaving you you do not need to carry this with you anymore and the days from now will become longer there will be more light more brightness more fire now there is a time for renewal a rebirthing a returning of the light returning of the light externally and internally taking all of the teachings all of the lessons and birthing them into a new version of you a better version of you and the fire is igniting you within it is rebirthing the best version of you you have a chance and an opportunity to nourish to water to be birthed to blossom into something even more beautiful than before it is a returning of the light a returning of the fire breathing in love compassion peace joy prosperity abundance and a rebirthing of all of these wonderful things into this better version of you into this new version of you dancing with the longer days the brightness of the sun blossoming into something more beautiful and keep breathing in this positive energy keep breathing in this love and light keep breathing in the abundance the prosperity the peace the joy the happiness breathing in love and compassion for yourself and others it is a returning of the light a rebirthing a renewal a returning of the light a new version of yourself a better version of you and as you continue to breathe here with one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach breathing in love and compassion breathing in the positive energy breathing in the fire the light breathing in joy happiness peace and allow these to flow to flow into your body your energy your heart your soul carrying these into the days ahead remembering to love i invite you to take your attention off your breath now and you can release your hands by your sides start to listen to the sounds that are around you feel the ground or the chair beneath you and slowly getting a sense of your surroundings you can begin to move your hands and your feet your fingers and your toes stretching out in any way that serves you taking as much time as you need here and when you are ready you can open your eyes to the light to the new beautiful
