My name is Sengit and today I have a message for you.
For so many of us money has such a bad connotation yet everybody wants it.
If we ask ourselves what do we want a huge portion of us will say money.
A huge portion of us will say that we wish to win the lottery so we can have a lot of money simply because in a society like ours almost everything is about it.
We even have jobs that we hate and that we force ourselves to go to so we can have money to pay for the food,
For the house,
For the car,
For the trips and for everything else that we want and need to fit into whatever reality we want to live in.
Even health can be a matter of money either for the best treatments,
The best supplements or whatever we need to improve it.
But money is so evil for so many of us that we even condemn those who have it and then we try to escape it.
We drop the house,
The car and the job and we live in a van,
We ride a bicycle and we volunteer.
But then we need money to have and to keep the van,
The bicycle and even the volunteering and then we drop all of that and we work in our land,
We cultivate our own food and we walk.
But then we have to pay for the land,
For the tools to grow the food and sooner or later we will need to take the bus,
The plane or the train unless we get a ride and guess what?
Someone will also have to pay for it.
And then some of us go even further and we work through donations and we directly exchange resources.
But then we realize that in one way or the other,
For every donation and for every resource,
Money is required.
And at this point we blame the rich and we become poor,
Yet everybody wishes to be rich and no one wants to be poor.
We continuously struggle with and because of money.
We push it,
We ignore it,
Yet we want it and we obsess with it and then the conflict expands even more and we find ways to feel ashamed for every single piece of money that we have or for every piece of money that we don't.
In a world in which money is so present,
Either for its lack or for its abundance,
Let's just face it,
Ours or others,
Money is everywhere and it is needed and it is wanted because it buys everything that we need to survive and to thrive in this planet.
And no,
It doesn't buy true love,
True care and true affection,
But it buys our food and it pays our bills and it buys opportunities to smile,
To be more at peace,
To have new experiences and to build a life,
Whatever that means for us and for sure that puts us at ease to have the real love,
The real care and the real affection that we all want and deserve.
Do we need to be rich or to be poor?
No,
Rich or poor,
Those are just terms that we use to describe a particular amount of money that we have in comparison to another one in a particular moment in time,
Which,
By the way,
Can be totally changeable in a blink of an eye.
Now,
Would it be better if we didn't need any money and that we could just live without it?
Yes,
Of course,
And if we find a way to really do it and that is what we want,
Then great,
But no happiness will come out of any resentment towards anything,
Including money.
So let's bless it and make peace with it,
Whatever amount we need or want to have.
After all,
It is just an energy,
Nothing else.
So many of us had or have so much fun playing Monopoly,
A game that is all about money,
And yet we get so angry and so frustrated on a daily basis playing the exact same game.
Money is fun,
It is,
And there are so many ways to get it.
Besides,
How many of us had had amazing experiences with money in our pockets that was used and needed for a great gesture,
A great event,
Or a great surprise?
Let's not draw a sad face on money,
Let's draw a happy one.
Money can be beautiful when it is part of a beautiful perspective and of a beautiful heart.
And like everything else,
It is to be acknowledged,
And if somehow it is beneficial,
Then it is to be and it is to stay with us.
