Chapter 14 Enro turned as he heard the sound of Dahlia's bracelets clinking on her arm as she walked into the room.
His heart jumped for a quick moment,
And then started beating faster as his eyes soaked up the beauty of this woman he had only known for one day.
How is it even possible,
He thought,
Followed immediately with a self-correction.
No,
I manifested her.
He smiled as he locked eyes with Dahlia,
Feeling her matching joy to being back together in the same physical space.
She walked right into his arms and they took a moment to delight in the newness and familiarity of their hug.
Leaning back just a little,
Enro lifted her chin and gave her a quick kiss.
It's amazing to see you.
You too,
She replied with another smile.
Hearing Laura's chatter continuing in the background,
They came together for one more quick hug and kiss.
Then they walked to the door where the pile of blankets and coolers and tiki torches were waiting to be put in the car.
Laughing and sharing their ideas of how the night would go,
The three loaded up the car that Enro had borrowed again from his group,
Climbed in,
And started driving to the beach.
They arrived just a half an hour before the sun would be setting and easily found their group on the beach near Enro's Airbnb.
His friends had set up a large area of blankets and were finishing their last match of volleyball,
With some of Dahlia's group already mingling in the activity.
It had taken one quick text to bring the two communities together for this celebration.
Enro and Dahlia felt the joy of their worlds aligning and merging for such a significant moment in their journey of finding each other.
Putting their stuff down,
They started setting up the tiki torches around the edge of the wide circle,
Hugging and greeting their friends and introducing each other.
It was just a moment before the sun started to set on the last day of this year.
Following tradition of beach lovers around the world,
The group settled onto blankets to soak in the magic of another sun setting into the ocean,
Creating a masterpiece of beautiful colors as far as the eye could see.
Cuddling Dahlia as close as he could to his side,
Enro could feel the gratitude radiating from his heart out to the sun and being reflected back through the rays of light dancing on the water.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
He could hear it in his mind.
He could feel it in his heartbeat.
He could sense it in every particle of light and air and sound moving around him and the woman by his side.
Looking down at her,
He found that she was looking right at him.
This kiss was longer,
Sweeter,
Filled with a deeper commitment.
I don't know how,
I don't know what it looks like,
But I promise you forever.
Enro could feel the commitment telepathically transmitting from his consciousness directly to Dahlia's and being echoed back to him.
As their eyes opened and they pulled back to look at each other,
With all of the light moving around them,
They both knew this was the beginning of the journey.
This was the moment that defined everything that was yet to happen.
It was all activated in this moment of truth where they promised no matter what.
Blessed by source,
The sun,
The ocean,
Light,
Held in community,
The energetics were anchored.
And so it begins.
