Many blessings and welcome to this guided meditation on being an instrument of God's peace.
Beginning by taking several breaths to relax and soften your body and your mind.
And as you breathe,
Allowing your shoulders to relax,
Your chest,
Your arms and hands relax,
Your hips and legs and each part of your body relaxes.
And as it does,
Notice how your mind also begins to relax.
As your body relaxes,
So your mind relaxes.
And as your mind relaxes,
So your body relaxes.
And with each moment coming into a quieter and quieter place inside yourself.
And we come to this prayer of the heart.
The first line of the prayer of Saint Francis.
God,
Make me an instrument of thy peace.
Make me an instrument of your peace.
Beginning to repeat this line in your mind and your heart like a mantra.
A prayer that you say again and again.
And as you repeat it,
And as you breathe,
Allow this prayer to resonate throughout your whole body and being.
And as you breathe,
Allow this prayer to resonate throughout your whole body and being.
Lord,
Make me an instrument of thy peace.
May I be an instrument of your peace.
Find the words and the phrasing that most resonates with your own heart.
And as you repeat it,
Allow it to settle in and reverberate throughout your entire being.
Allowing this awareness to fill you and to experience this prayer answered.
What does it feel like to be an instrument of peace?
And as you align with this awareness,
Let it anchor in you.
So that as you go about your day,
About your evening,
God,
Make me an instrument of thy peace.
Resonates throughout your mind,
And your body,
And your heart,
And your spirit.
And that you may be an instrument of peace in this world.
And for all those you meet.
And coming back to this practice again and again.
And coming back to this short meditation to realign and remember the powerful intention of being an instrument of divine peace.
Thank you for your beautiful presence.
And may peace fill,
Surround,
And emanate from you.
Many,
Many blessings.
