For most people's life,
The daily activities are driven by pleasure,
Fear,
Or boredom.
Meditation is to find out whether there is a new dimension or not,
Where thoughts in terms of pleasure,
Fear,
And boredom have no place.
To touch upon this new dimension,
It doesn't mean that we lose the touch with the older one,
But to live a life where the two dimensions are functioning harmoniously.
In our work,
In our education,
Thoughts are still functioning in its place,
But to live a life totally,
The mind is not trapped or not attached to thoughts at all.
This implies freedom.
The mind feels free,
Not trapped,
Limited by the fragments which are the thoughts.
When the mind is free,
There are no issues in life.
When the mind is not free,
The mind is neurotic.
Anything in life can be an issue.
So meditation is to find out this dimension where we could live life totally,
Live a free life where the love,
The compassion can truly flourish,
And in that state,
All the issues are no longer issues.
The mind finds its composure,
Its certainty about living a life properly,
And such a life will lead to the real confidence.
Because the confidence only comes from the self-knowing.
That confidence is the truism to live through life where the me is totally absent.
