Are you ready to meditate with Cori?

Climb up into a comfortable bed and make sure that everything is just right.

Check that the light is just right in your room,

You're wearing your cozy comfy pajamas and all is well in the world so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy busy day.

Coriander was in that part of the kitchen where she made all of her potions,

Her tinctures,

Her witchy-poo stuff.

Today she was making something very mindful,

Something that captured the Christmas spirit.

She figured no matter what it was that she believed in,

Whether it was Hanukkah,

Santa,

Kwanzaa or absolutely nothing at all,

This item that she was making for a practice run she was going to give them as gifts to all of her friends was going to be magical indeed for anybody that wore it.

In front of her she had some twine,

Some good string that wouldn't break,

A big darning needle.

The darning needle was quite pointy,

It was a big needle with a big eye that allowed the darn,

The string to go through and then a bag of fresh cranberries.

She also had her magical stick that was like her magical wand.

With that stick she closed her eyes and started to create some magic.

With these cranberries each one will be encased in a wonderful sparkly Christmas spirit.

Each cranberry I touch will hold magic.

It will create a sense of euphoria,

Wonderful,

Wonderful happiness,

Joy and most of all a spirit of loving and giving,

A spirit of family and caring.

The spirit of Christmas will be in each one of these wonderful cranberries.

And so it is,

She said opening her eyes.

The cranberries on the table in front of her seemed to look brighter,

More juicy red.

Was that her imagination or was that the magic?

She wasn't sure but she was enjoying the colour of what she was going to be creating.

She got to work.

She put a knot in one end of the string and measured it around her neck and cut it so that it fit at the perfect heart space length.

The necklace would be right there sat over the person's heart space so that all that Christmas magic could tingle in and through their bodies and do its work.

And then she put the thread through the needle,

Through the big darning needle and then she pierced through a cranberry pulling it down the string all the way to the bottom,

Down to the knot.

And every time she touched one of the cranberries she got a tingle as if the cranberry was already infused with all of the Christmas spirit magic.

It was wonderful.

She was very excited.

This necklace had potential.

She put cranberry after cranberry after cranberry onto the string,

Pulling them through very carefully.

Some of them seemed harder than others and she was very careful not to poke herself with the needle.

But she did it over and over and over again until,

Eventually,

The string was covered in cranberries.

She tied a knot at the end and then with the two pieces of string that were loose after the knots,

She wrapped it around her neck,

Checked the length and then tied it into a bow so that she could take it on and off.

She liked that idea.

Or she could just tie it in a knot and pull it over her head to take it off but She liked the fact that she could keep it as a long string,

A long necklace.

She put the necklace on and tied the bow and closed her eyes and felt the Christmas spirit.

For one,

The colours were so happy and jolly.

It was lovely to look at.

Just this simple cranberry necklace that anybody could make.

In her mind,

She saw all the children all over the world making their own cranberry necklaces and filling them with Christmas spirit.

Maybe making their friends' necklaces or their parents' necklaces as Christmas gifts.

A bag of cranberries,

Fresh cranberries,

Wasn't that expensive.

If they could get a hold of it,

That would be very,

Very nice for Christmas for everybody.

And very personal.

And even more important,

Full of Christmas magic.

Coriander took off her necklace and got to work in making lots more necklaces.

By the time she was done making the five necklaces that she needed,

She was buzzing with Christmas spirit.

Ho!

Ho!

Ho!

Kept flying out of her mouth.

It was uncontrollable.

She wanted to go outside and play in the snow.

She wanted to jump up into the sky and go fly and find Santa.

She wanted to tickle Rudolph's red nose.

She wanted to have hot chocolate with Mrs.

Claus.

She wanted to make toys with all the elves.

She wanted to decorate the Christmas tree.

She found herself bubbling over with Christmas spirit.

She wanted to do all the things that you do when you celebrate Hanukkah.

She wanted to do all the things you do when you celebrate Kwanzaa.

She was going a little bit stir-crazy with all of the joy and Christmas happiness.

It was wonderful.

She felt so,

So good.

She had Christmas music playing in the background.

She hung up all of her cranberry necklaces on the Christmas tree.

Not only did they act as gifts,

But they were like perfect Christmas draping ornaments for the tree.

That gave her an idea.

Oh!

She could make a really long one for the Christmas tree and wrap it around and around and around.

It would look so pretty.

For this one,

She made it with a different intention.

It was for the tree,

After all.

The tree that they had in their home was a live tree.

It was still in the pot,

Growing.

It wasn't cut.

And they could put it back outside in the garden when they were done with Christmas.

You had to be careful,

Though,

That the house wasn't too warm,

Or it would kill the tree.

And you had to make sure that it was watered.

But this one,

In every cranberry she put,

A healing for earth and all that was on it.

The plants,

The trees,

The flowers.

Then,

Because she was thinking about all the trees and the forests,

The lakes,

The skies,

The clouds,

She started thinking about everything else that was on it.

The deers,

The bunny rabbits,

The animals,

The squirrels,

The badgers,

The beavers,

The fish.

Everything was flying through her mind as she was making the longest Christmas tree decoration with the cranberries.

Popping them on top of each other,

Going on for miles and miles and miles.

And everyone had this magical intention to help the earth stay good.

To give Mama Earth anything she needed for all of the trees and everything that walked upon earth.

It was a very special,

Magical,

Magical spell.

It took her a long time.

A couple of hours,

Actually.

But again,

She could see all the children all over the world making it,

Putting these intentions out to the world.

Sending love to Mama Earth and all of its plants and animals.

Keeping everyone in a good place.

Everyone healthy and happy.

How powerful would it be if all the children all over the world did these two Christmas activities?

How cool would that be?

Eventually,

Coriander got very tired.

Her little fingers felt raw.

Pushing the needle through each hard little fresh cranberry over and over and over again,

Made her fingers a little bit sore by the end of it.

So she packed everything away.

She looked at her area where she makes her spells and she said,

And so it is.

As if to close the chapter of that magic.

Then,

Coriander went to the bathroom in her home.

She had a nice long shower,

And that felt really good on her fingers.

The warm water was soothing.

She put on her most favorite witchy-poo pajamas.

They were black,

With glow-in-the-dark stars all over them.

They were only magical when it was dark at night.

That was her favorite part about them.

And then Coriander got into bed.

She was still buzzing with all the Christmas spirit.

She was still buzzing with all of the wonderful harmony that she'd sent out to the world and Mother Earth.

She was still vibrating from toes to the top of her head.

And it felt really yummy inside.

She eventually closed her eyes and fell fast asleep.
