You're wearing your comfortable pajamas and you can lay still and quiet,

Relaxing your body as you let go of your busy,

Busy day.

It's getting to that time of year,

That special time of year where everyone celebrates the holidays in different ways.

Heidi,

Cherry,

Vea,

Tucker and Leo were all hanging out together.

They were going to a holiday festival.

It was December and it was cold.

There was no snow,

Not yet,

But the cats were super excited to meet Abby,

Jane,

Natalie and Claire at the holiday festival.

When they saw them,

Everyone hugged.

They'd all got woolly hats on,

Big jackets,

Their gloves,

Things like that.

Cherry was sporting an OMG puffy jacket.

It said OMG on the back and she thought it was the coolest thing ever.

It was black and the OMG was silver and when it was dark,

The silver was lighting up.

You could see it like you could see it in the dark.

It was very cool.

OMG,

It's been ages since we've seen you.

Abby,

Give me a hug.

Jane,

Give me a big hug.

Natalie,

Claire,

Come here,

Keep me warm.

It's freezing.

I'm like,

Oh gosh,

It's not even snowing yet and it's so cold,

But I was so excited to come to this holiday festival,

So excited.

I've heard so much about it from you guys.

Everyone was super pumped.

Tucker was like,

Oh,

Leo didn't want to come.

Leo said it was too cold.

It is cold,

Said Leo.

He got a hat on,

A scarf on and he got these woolly boot things on each one of his paws.

It's freezing,

He said.

I don't really like the cold.

It makes me miserable.

I'd much prefer the sun.

Tucker said,

But Leo,

It's winter and that's the bestest time of year because it's Christmas time soon and that's why we're here,

Leo.

So you have to be cold.

You have to just be cold.

You'll be alright,

Leo.

Jane went over to Leo and gave him a big hug.

Stick with me,

Leo.

I'll keep you warm.

I've got my thermal,

Thermal leggings on and my thermal jumper and my thermal jacket.

Leo said,

Wow,

That's a lot of thermal.

Jane said,

Yeah,

Exactly.

I'm so hot.

Feel me.

She hugged him again and he was all warm and snugly.

He got his head over his shoulder.

He closed his eyes for a minute because it was so nice and warm.

See,

Said Jane.

Leo said,

You are warm.

Yeah,

Let's stick together.

Abby was walking with Claire and they were talking about going to the snowball section.

Cherry said,

There's no snow yet.

How on earth are they going to make a snowball section?

But they was.

The holiday festival was in like a big giant car park area and each area had different activities going on.

There was a cookie baking area where you could make Christmas cookies and then decorate them.

There was a snowball area which literally was snowy.

The whole area had trees with snow on,

Snow on the ground.

There was kids and animals running around,

Playing with the snow,

Throwing snowballs at each other and making snowmen.

That's where Claire and Abby wanted to go first.

There was another area called Circle Lane and you had to get on a bus and when you were on the bus,

The whole bus was covered in Christmas lights inside and out and it played Christmas carols.

And as you rode on the bus,

It went down Circle Lane and Circle Lane was a bunch of houses with different Christmas lights on.

It was very,

Very festive.

There was another area with a big giant table,

Enough for like 40,

Maybe 50 people and all over the table there was decorating craft materials and you could make Christmas tree ornaments.

Jane asked Leo if he wanted to make Christmas tree ornaments.

Leo said yes,

He would.

He definitely didn't want to go to the snowy area.

Cherry,

Tucker,

Claire and Abby all went over to the snowy area,

While Natalie decided that she wanted to ride on the bus first and no one else did,

But she didn't mind.

Even though the car park area where the holiday festival was was super big,

It was still close enough that everybody could kind of check in on each other and see what they were doing.

So they all went off to do the different things.

Natalie ended up sitting on a bus next to an old lady with bright pink cheeks and white curly hair.

She looks like Mrs.

Santa,

She thought to herself.

She actually got brave and told the lady that she looked like Mrs.

Santa and the Mrs.

Santa lady thought that that was the bestest compliment ever,

Especially with it being this time of year.

There was a gentleman on the bus that looked like a bus inspector,

As if he was handing out tickets,

But he wasn't handing out tickets,

He was handing out tiny little cups of hot chocolate.

Natalie decided that she definitely picked the best activity out of all of them to go first.

So she sat with Mrs.

Santa on the bus and they chatted all the way around and drank hot chocolate together.

It was very,

Very nice.

Jane and Leo went over to where they were doing the Christmas crafts.

They sat down together at the table and Jane snuggled up really close to Leo to keep him warm.

There was fumes practically coming off her with all that thermal.

He was thoroughly enjoying it.

They decided to make a Christmas tree out of very thin wood.

They got to paint it and stick baubles on it and sequins on it and also tie a red ribbon through the hole at the top so they could hang it on the Christmas trees when it was time to put their Christmas trees up.

It was taking them a long time,

But they were enjoying it and there were so many happy jolly people at the table all making different things.

They were having a lot of fun.

Tucker,

Cherry,

Claire and Abby were playing with the snowballs.

Cherry got one right in the face.

OMG,

Tucker,

I'm going to kick your.

.

.

Then she got another one right next to her head.

OMG,

Claire.

.

.

Claire was laughing so much she fell on the ground and Cherry saw her in.

She ran over to Claire and rubbed snow all over her face.

Claire was rolling around laughing the whole time with her mouth full of snow.

The snow even went up her nostrils.

She was laughing so much she couldn't be mad.

Cherry got over the fact that Claire hit her right on the side of the head with a snowball because she'd got her revenge.

Take that,

She kept saying,

But really it was very funny.

Abby was trying to chase Tucker,

But he was doing so good on the snow.

Abby was slipping and sliding all over the place.

And then Tucker stopped all of a sudden and said,

Abby,

Can we make a snowman?

I'd really like to make a snowman.

I've never made a snowman in my entire life.

And guess what?

He can wear my scarf.

So Abby decided to teach Tucker how to make a snowman.

And then Cherry and Claire came over to help.

And then Jane and Leo joined them.

And finally,

The crowd was all back together trying to make the biggest snowman in the lot.

When Natalie had finished her ride on the big Christmas bus.

They were all pushing around snowballs,

Trying to get them going.

Tucker and Claire were doing the best job so far.

Claire was an expert at making snowmen.

They were pushing and pushing and turning and pushing and pushing and turning and pushing and pushing.

And the snowball was growing bigger and bigger and rounder and rounder.

You had to turn it,

Otherwise you'd end up with a cookie shaped snowman.

To make a ball,

You have to push and turn and push and turn.

Leo made a cookie shaped snowman.

And it ended up just falling over and smashing all over the floor and he had to start all over again,

Which he decided to quit quite quickly because his paws were cold once again,

Even though he had gloves on them.

The car park had different areas that had big giant microphones.

There was Christmas music playing over them.

It was really,

Really festive.

And everyone was super excited by the end of the night about the holidays coming.

Before they went home that evening,

Everyone had took turns on the different activities at the festival.

Tucker had got Leo's ornament and his ornament hanging off his ears like they were earrings.

All the way home in the car.

It was so much fun,

Leo.

So much fun.

I had so much fun.

And I think my snowman was the bestest snowman in the whole place.

It was so good.

Oh no,

Leo.

I forgot my scarf on my snowman.

Leo said,

Don't worry about it.

Mom's being crocheting like a crazy woman at the moment.

I'm sure you've got 10 more scarves at home,

Tucker.

Oh,

I know,

But I liked that one.

It was purple and pink and yellow and it had red baubles on it like it was ready for Christmas.

Cherry was tired.

OMG,

I'm so tired.

Who'd have thought?

It was so exhausting.

Having so much fun.

My favourite,

I think my absolute favourite thing of the night was definitely,

Definitely the bus.

I really liked the bus.

It was so nice.

It was like,

Oh,

This must be what it feels like to drive around the North Pole.

This must be what it feels like to be one of Santa's elves,

I was thinking to myself.

And that hot chocolate.

Tucker said,

Oh my goodness,

That hot chocolate was so delicious.

Leo said,

It was really good hot chocolate.

Did you guys notice that there was a Christmas cookie floating in the top?

No,

Said Leo.

Cherry said,

No,

Mine didn't have a Christmas cookie.

Tucker said,

Well,

That gentleman on the bus must have liked me a lot because mine had a peppermint chocolate cookie floating in the top of my hot chocolate.

And I was like,

Oh my goodness,

Thank you so much,

Mr.

Nice Man.

Is your name Santa by any chance?

And he said,

No.

But he looked just like him,

Don't you think?

Leo,

Cherry,

Heidi and Vea were all a little bit confused.

The man that was on the bus did not look like Santa at all.

He had brown hair and he was young and he was skinny.

He didn't have a big belly like Santa and he didn't have a white beard like Santa.

He didn't look anything like Santa.

Vea said,

Tucker,

Are you sure you're talking about the same guy?

Because he was young with brown hair.

Tucker said,

Oh no,

No,

No,

No,

No,

No,

No.

He was not.

He had a red outfit on just like Santa and he had white hair and a big,

Big white beard and he gave me a hot chocolate and he had a peppermint chocolate cookie on the top.

I'm telling you,

That's the truth.

And I was like,

Oh,

That's so nice.

Leo said,

Tucker,

Who went on the bus with you?

Tucker said,

I was on the bus on my own because everyone else had been doing different things at different times and there was no one else that needed to go on the bus because they'd all been on the bus already.

So I got on that bus all by myself.

I was so brave and no one else was on the bus at all.

It was just me and the bus and Santa.

Everyone looked at each other as if to say,

Did Tucker go on a different bus?

A special bus?

A bus that had Santa on it?

A bus with bestest hot chocolate in the world?

A bus that they didn't go on?

How come Tucker got to go on a bus with Santa and they didn't?

Cherry said,

Oh,

Gee,

If I weren't so tired,

Tucker,

I'd,

I'd,

I'd tickle you a lot because there's no way,

No way you went on a bus with Santa and I did not because I know for a fact that he loves me a lot and if there was hot chocolate going around with peppermint chocolate cookies on the top,

I would have had one.

Tucker said,

I'm telling the truth.

Maybe I was just a really,

Really good boy this year and that's why Santa loves me more than he loves everyone else.
