Sasha said,
I'm so glad that I'm in town and I can be with you guys.
Leo was very happy about Sasha being in town visiting.
Sasha said,
It'd be really nice if we could be human.
Cherry said,
OMG,
Yeah,
Sasha,
We should go do something really cool.
I've been thinking about it,
Right,

Being human,

It's just so cool.
It's just so cool and you like,

You get to hang out and you get to do cool things.
And I mean,
We get to do cool things as animals and all that,
But it's just so different being in a human body.

Tucker said,

Tucker said,

Because I've got the magic stone and that angel doesn't do it for anybody else,
Only me.
So you best take that back about you being more classy than a dog.
Just because we like to smell butts doesn't mean we don't have class.

Leo said,

Sasha said,
Yes,
Watch your mouth,
Poe.
Then she elbowed Leo as if to say,
Let's see if we can get Tucker even more wound up.
Tucker didn't bite,

Tucker said,
I think I'll just go outside and get my stone.
Since I have so much class.
Because I can use my stone,
And you can't.
Tucker went outside through the dog door.
He went on to the back garden.
He went to the Buddha statue.
And he dug up his magical stone.
He pulled it out with one of his paws and held it up to the sunshine.
It was a beautiful sunny day.
The sun was shining really bright.
It was perfect for his magic.
The stone was white and the golden veins got really,
Really bright.
And shiny as if they were lighting up with electricity from the inside.
And then his magical angel appeared in the stone.
She was waving her wings around as if she was flying in the sky.
She looked down at him and smiled.

Tucker said,
Well,
We have a house full.
We have an absolute house full of friends,
My lovely angel.
And we would like to be human,
Please.
We're going to go do something really cool,
Really cool.
Tucker turned around and he was wearing a white T-shirt with some baggy denim jeans.
And some blue Converse.
He walked back in the house and everyone was there in the human bodies.
Cherry had got on a red T-shirt with some black skinny jeans and some black Converse.
Heidi was wearing a purple T-shirt with purple glasses and purple baggy slacks.
Veya was wearing an orange jumpsuit that was silky and she had an orange headband on and orange flat shoes with pointed toes.
As if she was like a genie or something.
They were very girly.
She loved them.
Sasha was wearing overalls,
Denim overalls with a black and white stripy T-shirt underneath.
And Leo was wearing a black T-shirt and he had on brown cargo pants.
He was also wearing some vans,
Some black ones.
D'Angelo,
Who was stood next to Veya,
Was wearing a bright orange T-shirt and black trousers with black shoes.
He looked very suave.
And he happened to match Veya.
Veya said,
Oh my,
It's so nice to see all the gang back together again.
Poe was over in the corner,
Standing behind Heidi.
He was wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans with black shoes and a black baseball cap.
They all looked so cool.
D'Angelo said,

He looked at Veya,
Where do you want to go?
Everybody looked at each other.
Poe looked at Heidi,
Heidi looked at Poe.
Sasha looked at Leo,
Leo looked at Sasha.
Cherry looked at Tucker and Tucker looked at Cherry.
Just automatically looking at their favourite people to decide what they wanted to do since they were human and they were cool.
Veya,
D'Angelo's princess,
Confessed that she wanted to try boba.
Everybody at the same time said,
Yeah,
Boba,
Cool.
Not too far away,
There was a boba place called It's Boba Time.
And that's where they went.
It was close by the mall.
And,
You know,
It's cool to walk to the mall.
It's cool to walk around the mall.
It's just cool being in the mall.
But this was just by the mall.
And it was always packed.
And all the young kids went.
So that's where they were going.
There was a big area outside with tables where you could sit and hang out with your friends.
And they were going to go and get boba and sit and talk and catch up.
And just be with each other.
Veya walked with D'Angelo.
Po walked with Heidi.
Cherry walked with Tucker.
And Leo walked with Sasha.
All the way to It's Boba Time.
As if they were couples or something.
When they got to Boba Time,
Po ordered the taro with boba.
D'Angelo ordered the brown sugar milk with boba.
Cherry ordered the Thai tea with boba.
Leo ordered mango with boba.
Sasha ordered rose matcha with boba.
Tucker ordered the oreo milk with boba.
And Veya ordered the strawberry matcha with boba.
Heidi was the last in line.
She ordered the coconut strawberry swirl with boba.
There were so many of them.
They had to wait quite a while before all of the drinks were ready.
But when they were ready,
They all got their drinks.
They were all sealed on top.
And they were given a big fat straw so that the boba could be sucked up the straw.
Veya shook her drink.
And Cherry said,
OMG,
I didn't know you did that.
Veya said,
Well,
It's best to shake it while the plastic lid is on,
So that you can shake all the ingredients together.
Because if you put the straw in before and pop the top,
Then it spills everywhere.
And then you can't,
You can't mix all your stuff together.
And I really like to be able to mix my strawberry in with my matcha.
So I just shake it upside down a few times and then I pop the straw in.
It's so much fun.
Everyone basically copied what Veya did.
They shook up the drinks and they popped the straws in.
And they found a big table where they could all sit.
A lot of their other friends from school were there.
You know,
When they're human and they have to go to school.
They saw a lot of their other friends there.
It ended up being like a big party night.
There were so many kids.
So many people hanging out.
They had a lot of fun.
Cherry put her phone in the middle of the table and they were listening to music.
That was cool.
Tucker asked Cherry if she wanted to dance.
And Cherry said,
OMG Tucker,
You're so embarrassing.
But she really liked the idea.
Even though she didn't.
He just laughed at her as if to say,
Whatever Cherry.
Because Tucker's just cool.
He don't care.
Everybody caught up.
Because it had been a while since they'd seen each other.
So Heidi talked to Poe about all his latest stuff at the theatre.
She told him about the book that she was reading.
And she also told him about the poetry that she'd been writing.
She got a specific journal just for her poetry.
Poe was impressed.
He said that he needed to do that also.
He had scraps of paper.
All over the place with poems on.
Be a good idea to keep them all together in a book.
Tucker and Cherry were just silly.
As always.
They were pretending to do parkour on the benches that were empty.
I think they'd got too much caffeine or something in their boba.
Or too much sugar.
Or it was just them two.
That are nuts anyway.
Leo and Sasha talked about Mexico.
And everything that she'd been up to in Mexico.
She was staying for two weeks.
He was super excited.
He was trying to calculate in his head when he was back to being a dog how many times he would be able to talk to her through the fence.
There was probably a lot of talking that they could do.
D'Angelo and Vea were just sat together.
Really close.
Holding hands.
Underneath the table.
Not that anyone cared.
They had a lot of fun at the boba.
It's time for boba place.
But eventually they needed to go home.
They'd been there three hours.
Just hanging out with their friends.
Playing around.
Listening to music.
Talking and talking and talking.
Having the best time.
Being human.
Instead of cats and dogs.
But eventually they really did have to go home.
Heidi,
Cherry and Vea.
D'Angelo.
And Poe.
All said goodbye.
To Tucker and Leo.
And Tucker and Leo and Sasha.
Walked home.
Back to their house.
Since Sasha was in the house next door.
Sasha said goodbye.
And went into her house.
And Leo said.
I'll see you at the fence later.
And Sasha said.

They stared at each other for a while.

Walked into the living room.
And became dogs once again.
They laid down on their big,

Comfortable dog bed.
Talked about how much fun they'd had.
