Were all at Tucker and Leo's house.
They were having a get-together.
They were all hanging out around the kitchen cabinet.
In the kitchen,
Around the kitchen island.
Chit-chatting,
Catching up.
They were excited because Sasha was in town and she was going to be in town for three whole weeks.
That was really nice.
Leo was very excited.
Very excited about that.
Mr Kitty was sat next to Vea.
And they were talking about her latest obsession.
Gloves with pearls sewn on them.
She had a pair of white gloves.
With the tiniest,
Tiniest little pearls.
Decorating.
So they were all sparkly and pretty.
She wasn't wearing them,
But she was telling Mr.
Kitty all about them.
And he was absolutely enthralled.
It wasn't really.
Impressed dog.
Interested in the globe.
But he was very happy to listen to Veya.
Talk about anything.
Because we know,

That Mr.
Kitty is pretty.
Cherry was Punching.
Tucker.
On his arm.
I'm so strong,

" Tucker was rubbing his arm.
You didn't have to punch me that hard.

She's a bully!
Leo started laughing.
But he wasn't really paying attention.
He was catching up with Sasha on everything that had been happening in Mexico.
And there have been lots of things happening in Mexico.
It was very hot.
And also,
Lots of family have been visiting Sasha's house.
Uncles,
So many parties,
So many gatherings,
So much food,
So much so much cultural,
Cool.
Leo said.
What's the cultural cool stuff?
And Sasha Z.
I got to hang out underneath a piñata that was just for the pets.
Leo said,
What's a piñata?
Sasha giggled.
She said,
Well,
Normally they're filled with candy and then the kids or the adults,
Hit them with a stick until The piñata breaks open and all the candy falls on the floor.
But this one was a pet piñata.
So we were all there.
There was at least 10 different dogs,
Sasha said,
All underneath the piñata,
Waiting for the dog treats to fall down onto the ground.
Leo was trying to imagine what that was like in his mind.
Sounded like fun.
With a peanut butter dog treats,
He said.
And Sasha said,
Some of them were.
Leo looked up and thought,
I think I would like Mexico.
Mostly,
He just liked Sasuke.
But,
You know.
Sash was a cool,
Cool,
Cool dog.
Tucker said,
I'm going to go outside because I have an idea that I want,
Now that we're all together,
To actually do something.
Together.
Terry said,
Can I come?
Can I come with you?
Took a sed.
What,
I don't see why not.
So Cherry and Tucker went out of the dog door onto the back garden.
They walked over to where the Buddha statue was.
Tucker stopped to dig.
Is digging deeper and deeper and deeper.
Until he finally got to the magical stone.
He looked at the stone and wiped off all the dirt with his paws.
And then he showed it to Cherry and Cherry said OMG it's so pretty isn't it?
And then he said,
You haven't seen anything yet,
Cherry.
Just wait and see.
Took a holy stone,
A magical stone.
Up to the sky so that the sun could shine down on it.
And as soon as that happened.

The white stone became more bright and more opal looking.
And within the stone,
All of the golden veins started to twinkle and get bright and shiny.
Cherry wine.
So cool.
I'm back.
Angel appeared right there in the stone.
And Tucker said.
She's here,
Look,
She's here!

Look at her,
She's so beautiful!
Cherry smiled up at the angel.
The angel looked down on both of them,
And she smiled the sweetest smile,
And then She's sad.

She bent down and tapped on both of them with her fists.

She had soccer shoes on.

On the button.
Those things that stick in the ground.

Anyway.
Took her.
Was dressed.
Exactly the same.
Went inside.
And looked around the kitchen island and everyone was wearing and sneakers.
Sucker,

Boots,
Whatever they are.
With the fancy little things in the bottom.
They're sad.
To Mr Kitty.
That was now D'Angelo.
Oh my!
Think we're playing.
Soccer?
Tooku sad.
Follow me everyone as he flicked his fingers.
Hair back,
Just like Bieber.
Cherry caught a glimpse of his shiny,
Thick black hair.
She thought he looked delicious.
Especially in a soccer outfit.
She didn't say anything.
Tucker grabbed a ball off the yard outside the football.
And they followed him to the park.
Where there was a big,
Giant piece of grass that was big enough to be like a soccer pitch.
They set up posts for goals.
Had an idea of the middle of the soccer pitch.
The edges,
All of that stuff.
They figured it all out.
And then a group of boys and girls.
Wearing the completely opposite colours.
To what they were wearing.
Our gang.
The gang that we know were wearing black shorts,
Black socks,
And a black and white striped top.
The gang that we didn't know.
Were wearing.
Black Shark.
Black Sox.
And a red and white top.
So they all looked exactly the same,
But you could clearly tell that they were two different teams.
Took a said hi to one of the guys.
Apparently he knew him from school.
There was some girls and some boys.
Kind of a mixed group,
Just like our group.
You know,
Heidi,
Cherry,
And Vea,
And Sasha.
And Leo.
And and D'Angelo.
It was no Poe.
Unfortunately.
Who didn't come today.
He'd broke his ankle.
As a theatre.
Is stepped too close to the edge.
He got carried away with his character.
And right there in the middle of the theatre and everybody watching,
Unfortunately.
Po fell off the side and.

Kind of sprained,
He didn't quite break his ankle but he sprained it enough to not be able to walk on it and he had to have like a brace on it for two months.
Pop-up.
So there was no poem.
This other group were the same amount of kids,
So they figured that that was probably good.
Because they had,

Veya.
Heidi.
Sasha.
That's four.
D'Angelo.
Leo.

And there were seven kids on the other team.
They flipped a coin.
The other team got heads.
Which was they got to kick first.
And they started to play soccer.
Or is it football?
Most of our group.
That we know.
They had no idea what they were doing.
But that's okay.
Having so much fun.
And luckily.
The cat.
And Tucker and Leo had seen some football matches from the World Cup.
Some soccer matches.
Because,
You know,
We all know it just being the World Cup,
Right?
And they had learned.
That.
If anybody kind of trips you up,
Or accidentally kicks you,
Or knocks you,
Or like runs in front of you and you fall over,
Or pulls on your shirt,
All of these things that could be classed as a foul,
All you have to do is just roll on the floor and pretend that you're dying.
Like you've been hurt really,
Really bad.
Let me ask you this.
Let's see if you know before I even say anything.
Who do you think was the best actor?
Or actress.
Even though you can call all actors and actresses actors,
Right?
Who do you think was the best actor?

When it came to dramatic falls on the ground.
Pretending that they were dying in pain.
Who do you think was the best?

She was absolutely amazing.
She belongs in Hollywood.
Anytime anybody from the other side got the ball off her,
Or was anywhere remotely close to her,
They didn't have to touch her sometimes.
She would just scream.
And she'd land on the ground and go,
Oh gosh,
I'm in so much pain.
She was so dramatic.
It was hilarious.
Tucker said to her at one point,
I think you can chill out with sticking your tongue out every time you fall on the ground,
Cherry.
It's not as if you can keep dying over and over and over again.
Cherry said,
Oh,
Shut up.
I've always wanted to do that.
You know,
I've watched so many murder mysteries and you know,
You know,
Like Agatha Christie and like you're trying to find out who's,
Who's the killer.
And then there's the inspector,
You know,
And I always wanted to be the inspector,
But I've watched so many of those.
That whenever they find a dead body,
They're always like that.
They're like this.
She opened one eye and looked at Tooka.
And took his side.
Yeah,
But I don't think it's that necessary when we're playing soccer.
Cherry said,
You just watch,
You just watch.
All these penalties,
Penalties,
Penalties,
Penalties,

Took us out.
Penalties.
Yeah I thought so.
All these penalties that I'm getting us.
We're already in lead.
We're like three.

Took a sat.
Were three goals to none.
We're winning.

Didn't even know how many times I'd scored as the goals.
Cherry said.

Rio's actually doing really good at the goals.
He scored two and then Sasha scored one.
How cute by the way,
When Leo scored the first goal,
Sasha ran up and gave him the biggest hug.
I didn't want to let go.
He could smell her shampoo.
It smelt light.
Lavender and oranges.
And then when he scolded the second one,
She hugged him again.
It was worth scoring goal after goal after goal after goal after goal if he kept getting hugged by Sasha.
But then eventually everybody else in his team would run up and jump up and hug and And then they just distracted the peace and quiet and harmony he was feeling inside,
Getting to hug Sasha.
Then Zathrosod scored a goal.
And before anybody else could run over and high five her and jump on her and give her kisses and like,
Yeah,
Yeah,
Like they do in the World Cup.
He got there first.
And he picked her up.
And he spun her around in a big circle.
And then when he dropped her down.

.
They looked at each other for a moment.
Just a moment.
A moment maybe a little bit.
Too long.
For them to just be.
So,
Both Sasha and Leo were ready to score goals over and over and over again.
If this works,
We're going to get the bestest hugs all day.
Right?
Cherry.
Didn't score any of the goals,
But all of her drama and her pretense dying and dying She did get lots and lots of extra points.
Toka.
Scott the final goal.
He flicked his hair back all dramatic,
Like he was the coolest preteen in the entire world.
Cherry thought it was cool too.
And then the whistle went,
And they'd won.
And the other side that looked like they played for school or something like that didn't score one single goal.
Which shocked everybody.
Rivea barely went near the goal.
Barely went near the ball.
She didn't want to get her pretty.
Soccer outfit.
She thought it was very pretty.
She was never normally the one that would ever,
Ever,
Ever,
Ever,
Ever,
Ever wear black.
She liked it.
Start she looked quite quite mature and.

Bit more street smart,
Kinda,
Like.
She loved being a princess but you know sometimes you gotta change things up right?

D'Angelo.
Just spent most of the time staring at Veja and didn't really care about the football game.
It's not his thing.
Don't think Poe would have been very useful either,
So it's a good thing that Poe couldn't play.

These glasses kept,
Kept like.

Steaming up because it was a hot day.
She was overeating and all the running back and forward on the football pitch was just like making her sweat and every time she sweat her glasses run down her nose she kept pushing them back up but then they'd steam up Absolute nightmare.
But they all had one good thing in common when they finished the game.
They sat down with their new friends and they all laughed and joked.
And they were laughing actually.
Two of the guys were.
Taking the mickey out of Cherry and they were rolling all over the floor with the tongs out saying this is how Cherry is with football.
And Cherry thought that was really funny.
But they all did have one thing in common and that was that they were all so thirsty.
So thirsty.
They were sweaty.
Smelly.
Hot.
Wet.
Happy.
Of thirsty.
So that they all have it.
Gatorade.
That they were drinking.
And then.

Eventually.
It is time for them to go back to the house.
They said goodbye to the.

Fellow football players.
Soccer players.
And they walked home.
Terry said.
OMG!
You know what,
Tucker?
That was a really good idea.
I really enjoyed that.
We should do that more often.
You know,
We've done gymnastics now,
We've done basketball.
Yeah,
I really like the soccer.
Yeah,
I love it.

Everybody agreed that they all liked the soccer game,
That it was a lot of fun.
When they got to Tucker and Leo's house.
They raided the snack cupboard because they were all hungry now as well as thirsty.
And they had chips,
And they had cookies,
And they had pretzels,
They had some oranges that they were appealing and enjoying.

Cherry,

And Sasha.
And Mr.
Kitty.
Eventually.
Left to go home.

Were back in their quiet house without everybody there.
Is settled down onto their big,
Soft,
Comfortable dog bed.
Legs side by side.
Tucker was miles away thinking about how awesome he was at playing soccer.
And how he thought Cherry looked very cute in the uniform.
And Leo wasn't talking either.
He was miles and miles away.
Dreaming about what Sasha was doing next door.
Excited to be able to see her through the fence in the morning.
