Merry Meet.
Welcome to Magical Minutes,
A series of short talks on topics of interest to Wiccans,
Pagans,
And Witches.
Whether you are new to the craft,
An experienced practitioner,
Or simply curious about nature-based spiritualities,
All are welcome and honored here.
Let's spend a few Magical Minutes together.
In this episode,
We'll be taking a look at color correspondences in magic.
Much like music,
Colors have the ability to influence almost everything,
And that definitely includes magic and spellwork.
Everyone has a favorite color,
Which is based largely on how that color makes one feel.
Think about what it means to say something has you seeing red.
Colors vibrate.
They have individual frequencies.
There is,
After all,
A color that corresponds with each of the seven chakras.
Pairing a particular color with your magical working or intention is very similar to using herbs,
For example,
In the same way.
In both cases,
You're aligning intention with energy.
Here is a quick guide to some of the correspondences of just a few colors.
Black is for protection and strength.
Green represents abundance and fertility.
Orange corresponds with confidence and strength.
Silver is associated with moon magic and psychic powers,
And white is for balance,
Cleansing,
And clarity.
The practice of using colors in magic is most commonly associated with candle magic,
But it isn't limited to just that.
By assigning colors to anything,
We are performing an energy pairing.
Moreover,
We are triggering the mind to further align with our intention.
This makes using colors ideal for not only working with candles,
But for altar claws and decorations,
Or even the clothing we wear,
Whether that be ritual garments or everyday attire.
Although colors have certain known energetic correspondences,
The bottom line is that a particular color needs to work for you in order for it to be effective.
If,
For example,
You personally feel that red aligns with protection more than black,
Then use red in your protective workings.
One of the beauties of magic is that,
While there are guidelines,
There is also plenty of room for individuality.
The real source of magic is you.
Thank you for joining me for this episode of Magical Minutes.
May you walk in love and light,
And may all your days be filled with magic.
Blessed Be.
