In this talk, we explore a simple yet transformative practice to reconnect with your roots and reclaim your internal power. We often forget that we are the result of thousands of generations, real people who survived, thrived, and passed their strength down to us. By lighting a candle and offering a simple "thank you," you tap into a lineage of resilience that has been honored across every major culture for millennia.

Transcript

I'm going to give you a super powerful practice.

Do this every day,

At least two weeks,

And you'll see incredible changes.

You have ancestors.

They're not some mythological beings.

You actually have ancestors.

Your grandma's parents,

Your grandfather's parents,

Great-grandparents,

Great-great-grandparents.

You have thousands and thousands of ancestors,

Real people who lived,

Who raised kids,

Who passed on their genes.

Do this practice every day.

In the morning,

Light a candle like this and say,

Thank you,

Ancestors.

That's it.

Think for a moment of the many generations,

Your biological father,

Your biological mother.

If you were adopted,

Also your adopted parents also become your ancestors.

Just say,

Thank you.

Honor the journeys of people who went before you.

We're incredibly disconnected from our ancestors today.

Every major culture in every country had ancestors' practices.

It's part of Christianity.

It's part of Buddhism.

It's part of Confucianism,

A huge part of Hinduism,

Part of Judaism.

So honor them.

You'll be doing the same practices your ancestors did for their ancestors,

And you'll feel stronger.
