Transcript
Hello and welcome back to Unleash Your Peace.
My name is Ellie Shoja.
I am your host.
I'm a positive mindset coach,
A personal transformation expert,
A deliberate creator,
And I am your peace trainer.
And Unleash Your Peace is such a cool podcast.
Every single week we dive into the internal world through a different topic.
We do that over the course of five episodes published Monday through Friday.
All the episodes are super short,
Under 10 minutes long.
Well,
You have something uplifting,
Inspiring,
Thought-provoking every single day to take you inward.
That's where your peace lies.
That's where your creativity is.
That's where your joy is.
That's where all of your answers are.
All of that is inside of you.
And when we go inward,
When we live from this place of joy and peace and connectedness to that infinite beingness,
That non-physical potential part of us,
We don't just incrementally improve the quality of our lives.
We actually exponentially innovate every aspect of our experiences on this physical plane.
We level up in such a way that we start living literally our dream lives.
We achieve everything we want and we have the relationships we want.
We become advocates for a more peaceful way of life and we become inspirers and uplifters of people around us.
And that trickles out into the society.
And next thing you know,
We're leveling up as an entire human race.
The sky's the limit when we do that.
This week,
Our topic is creativity.
It's a really fun one.
I hope you're enjoying it so far.
Now today I want to talk about how do you generate ideas that are unique and that are exciting that will change the way we do things.
And the only way we do that is by connecting to our beingness.
Our inner being knows the best way for us to expand,
The fastest way for us to get to where we want to go,
And the best ideas.
An idea is nothing other than the inspiration we are receiving that we are then translating into something tangible in our minds.
So we talked on our second day together about how creation is a two-step process.
First you create it in your mind and then you create it in the physical world.
But how can you generate more ideas?
No matter what line of work you're in,
If you can generate more ideas,
You are going to be more successful.
You're going to have more solutions at your disposal.
Any problem that you have has more than one or two solutions.
And sometimes it takes going through a few solutions to find the perfect fit.
How do you then unlock that creativity to be able to do that?
These show that by the time we are 35 years old,
We're pretty much set in our way.
Essentially,
Our personalities are completely formed by then because we start saying things like,
Oh no,
I wouldn't do that because I wouldn't like it.
Or no,
I don't eat that kind of stuff because I don't like it.
Or I don't have a talent for these types of things.
We've literally stopped trying new things by the time we're 35 because we have a pretty strong opinion about where we are and who we are and what we're supposed to do and what we are doing with our lives.
And that actually limits our creativity because it limits our ability to problem solve effectively.
So if you want to be more creative,
One major way you can set yourself up for success is by simply committing to doing things differently.
If you brush your teeth with your right hand,
Brush them with your left hand.
If you take one path to work,
Take a different path to work.
If you sleep on one side of the bed,
Sleep on the different side of the bed.
And more importantly,
See if you can find new problems to solve throughout your day.
I like to create problems for myself to solve.
If you,
For example,
Want to buy a gift for your niece and you can literally afford anything under the moon,
Why not limit yourself to a certain amount?
I'm not going to spend more than $20,
But I want to get my niece something that is really meaningful that creates a very interesting problem that is going to have a really interesting solution.
Anytime you limit yourself in the achieving of a goal,
Whether it is your budget,
The timeframe,
Whatever limitations you want to put on yourself,
You create a situation in which creativity becomes a very important factor.
Have you noticed how much better the first three Star Wars movies were rather than the last three?
What was the difference between them?
Nothing other than limitations,
Limitations of technology,
Limitations of budget.
And so in order to create this really rich world,
They had to make sacrifices.
And as a result,
They had to become very,
Very creative with the way everything was built and done.
So anytime you give yourself restrictions,
You set yourself up to become more creative,
To find solutions that are unconventional.
Again,
Going back to the limiting your budget for a birthday present,
If you limit your budget to something really crazy like 10 or $20,
You are really going to have to think very creatively in order to create a birthday present that is very thoughtful and fulfilling and is going to make the other person feel very special.
So these are just simple things that you can do to kind of trigger creativity within yourself.
And you don't even just have to do that in your personal life.
See if you can do it at your work,
At your office,
If you can create guidelines for projects that are pretty restrictive,
That are going to force your team to think outside of the box and to think really,
Really creatively.
Now today,
I simply will leave you with that,
That these are some really simple little things that you can do to kind of trigger creativity within yourself.
If you want to share your solutions,
Your creative solutions with me,
I always love reading them.
So share them with me on Instagram,
Share them with me on my website,
Peaceunleashed.
Com.
On Instagram,
You can find me under peace unleashed.
And by the way,
Once you're there,
Enjoy some of those love notes I write for you and read some of those captions.
I get a little silly with those love poems that I write.
And my sole purpose with that is to uplift and inspire you on a daily basis.
I hope that's what that Instagram account does.
And until tomorrow,
When we come back and conclude this very exciting topic of creativity,
I wish you a peaceful day.
