There are quite a few ghosts that come around during Christmas and one of them is the white lady of Cornwall and she appears exactly on winter solstice.
The lady is thought to be very beautiful and she has this white glow because she is a ghost and she has a red blood red rose between her teeth.
There is this superstition that if you see her,
Something bad is going to happen to you.
The stories about the white lady of Cornwall,
They've been around for centuries but no one knows her true identity.
She is truly a spirit of winter solstice because that's the only time when she appears.
There is another ghost that is connected to Christmas and she is way more famous.
That is the ghost of Anne Boleyn and of course Anne Boleyn was the rich Queen of England.
She was the wife of Henry VIII,
The second wife and she was beheaded because Henry thought that she was having an affair and then there was all the accusations of witchcraft and it was a very nasty case.
Her ghost is told to wander in the Tower of London.
She's probably the most famous ghost in the Tower of London which is very much a haunted place and then she appears in some other parts of England as well.
But in Christmas,
She haunts the Heuwer Castle and Heuwer Castle is the place where Anne spent her childhood so she was very happy in that place,
We can assume.
There have been some eyewitnesses who have said that they have seen the ghost of Anne Boleyn walking in the Heuwer Castle grounds on Christmas Day.
She walks and talks under this large oak tree then she crosses the bridge and tosses a spring of holly into the water.
