Yoganidra is a type of meditation practice that induces a waking dream and is done lying down.
You'll want to get as comfortable as possible right now.
It can be really nice to have a pillow under the head,
Maybe even under the upper thighs.
Blankets are wonderful too.
If you have any adjustments you'd like to make,
Just pause the audio and come back when you're ready.
Don't worry if you fall asleep during this practice.
Know that your subconscious will remain fully aware and absorb exactly what it needs to and what contributes to your highest joy.
Once you are fully comfortable,
Close your eyes.
Start to send breath deep into the belly.
Feeling the belly rise and expand on the inhale,
Falling,
Softening on the exhale.
And repeat to yourself three times in your mind,
I will stay awake and aware.
I will stay awake and aware.
Tune into sensations in your entire body.
The entire front,
Entire back,
Entire right side,
Entire left side.
Feel the weight of the right heel on the ground,
Pulling the foot down.
Notice the right shin and calf sinking to the ground,
The right thigh,
The right hip,
The entire right leg.
Feel the weight of the left heel on the ground,
Pulling the foot down,
Left shin and calf,
Left thigh,
Left hip,
The entire left leg.
Both legs,
Like two weights sinking deep towards the ground,
Past the floor and into the earth.
Feel the front of the low belly,
Feel the center of the lower back,
The center of the low belly.
Feel the pear shape of your womb,
Sitting in the center of the low belly,
Buried deep within the body.
Feel the fallopian tubes stretching out,
Paddling around the ovaries.
Feel the almond-shaped ovaries,
Blooming out of the fallopian tubes.
Feel the emptiness in the womb,
Blank canvas to joyously create upon,
Feel potential brimming in this emptiness.
The low back anchors to the ground,
Ribs and middle back relax,
Chest and heart soften.
The front of the shoulders release,
Shoulder blades melt so deeply,
You can almost feel wet soil on them.
The kiss of Mother Earth.
Relax the collar bones,
Release the front of the neck,
Back of the neck,
Release the jaw,
Lower teeth fall from upper teeth,
Heavy,
The chin softens,
Lips soften,
The cheeks soften,
Tip of the nose,
Under eyes,
Eyebrows,
Forehead,
Ears,
The entire face releases,
The entire face releases,
The entire face radiates peace,
The entire face radiates femininity.
Feel the back of the head,
Let it go,
Let go of the edge where the head meets the neck,
Let go of the edge where the head meets the neck.
Your mind is safe here.
Notice the darkness behind the eyes,
Notice any lights or colors you see.
You are entering a waking dream.
It is safe to relax completely here.
It is safe to relax completely here.
Breathe deeply,
Notice the exhale breeze across the upper lip,
And then reaffirm these sacred words in your mind.
The womb is not a place to store fear or pain.
The womb is to create and give birth to life.
The womb is not a place to store fear or pain.
The womb is to create and give birth to life.
The womb is not a place to store fear or pain.
The womb is to create and give birth to life.
The womb is to create and give birth to life.
Visualize yourself surrounded by the great expanse of the Peruvian Andes.
You stand at the foot of mountains so high they reach into the clouds.
The rock is lightly colored in shades of terracotta and brown,
Decorated by earth growing off of the craggled slopes.
The grand beauty of the mountains takes your breath away,
And you feel incredibly safe,
Surrounded by these natural giants.
Empowered even by their grandeur.
Directly in front of you sits a huge circular lake,
Which drops off into a massive waterfall that cascades and rips down the edge of the mountain.
The water is clear as crystal,
Blue as turquoise stones.
The surface ripples and sparkles each time a light breeze passes by.
The air is cool and fresh,
Yet you can feel sunshine beaming down the tip of your nose.
Of your crown and nose.
A feeling deep in your belly draws you towards the water.
You remove all of your clothes and step into the lake.
As soon as the water touches your skin,
A sense of freedom and serenity washes over you.
You swim closer and closer to the center of the lake,
Right in between the shore and the edge of the water.
Wading through the water,
Sun shines on your wet back.
The body feels as though it is getting lighter with each stroke,
And water glistens on the skin,
Making it look silvery and divine.
Eventually you reach the center,
And then,
Like a stone,
Sink gracefully to the bottom.
You find you can still breathe under the lake's surface.
Deeply and beautifully.
Water wraps around you like a hug,
Cooling and serene.
You are safe.
You are powerful.
You can manifest life.
You can go forward as a creatress.
These words ring in your ear like birdsong.
You feel warmth coming from the center of your belly,
Very deep in the core.
Your womb has heard Pachamama's words.
And vitality begins to flower and bloom within you.
As this power rises,
Your body becomes light as air,
As you float and return to the surface of the blue water.
Your head emerges,
Greeted by the heat of the sun.
A soft force from your womb begins to drift you towards the edge of the lake,
Where the waterfall drops off.
You swim nearer and nearer to the edge,
Each stroke taking you closer.
Eventually you reach the waterfall.
Tons of water gush down the side of the rocky mountain.
To the untrained eye,
Slipping off the edge would be unwise.
But a voice whispers to you once again,
This time from within your own womb.
You are ready to be rebirthed.
You are ready to know your true self.
And trust your magic.
With faith and grace,
You swim off the edge,
Cascading down the mountain.
The water is gentle on your skin,
And instead of falling,
The journey is slow and easy,
Like sinking to the bottom of a pool.
You know this moment to be a birthing,
Sliding out of Mother Earth's own womb.
You are delivered to a pool of glowing water at the bottom.
And when you open your eyes,
You see blue sky,
Yellow sun,
White clouds,
And a bird soaring overhead.
All of these sights are familiar,
Yet it is like you are seeing them for the first time,
Awestruck by Earth's beauty.
Eventually you swim to the shallow edge and stand.
You are tall,
Grounded,
Beautiful,
Empowered,
Creative,
Reborn,
And so very,
Very,
Very,
Alive.
