Hello and welcome to this realm of all possibility.
My name is Jim Rajan.
Let us sit with meaning,
Not the meaning of life,
But life's meaning.
It is said that humans are the means by which the universe understands and explores itself.
Let me say that once again.
It is said that humans,
Human beings,
You,
Are the means by which the universe understands and explores itself.
Earth is the only place where meaning exists.
As we cannot yet prove that there is life on other worlds,
This is currently correct.
Humans all too easily find their lives devoid of meaning.
We find life devoid of sense.
Nothing matters.
Nothing really matters.
Everything is just random,
Chaotic.
Life just is what it is.
As we go through life,
More and more,
We feel the hopelessness,
The helplessness.
It is an inherent darkness.
We hide it inside of ourselves and pretend it's not there.
But it expresses itself anyway,
Always.
And we hear others complain and negate,
And we fall into that too,
Don't we?
We fall into unconscious process.
It is not that there is a meaning of life.
It is that each human being is here to learn of their own meaning.
Not to come to finite conclusions about life,
Because that is deeply restrictive.
But to build your own sense,
Your own sensing,
Your own meaning.
You are an expression of the universe,
Which is expressing life through you,
To have the opportunity to understand itself and explore itself further,
Deeper,
Greater,
Through you as a conscious being,
Your universe,
Because it is you and yours.
Your universe clarifies and learns,
And then expresses itself further in a more expansive,
Illuminating way.
Cosmologist Carl Sagan said,
For small creatures such as we,
The vastness is bearable only through love.
Finding love for yourself is finding love for the universe.
Finding love for the universe is finding love for yourself.
And the story behind that,
The binding story behind that,
Is the meaning you create and then live your life by.
You are an expression of the universe,
Which is expressing life through you,
To have the opportunity to understand itself and explore itself further,
Deeper,
And greater.
