Welcome to this guided meditation to help you in your daily tarot pull.
This simple practice will help you tap into spirit and your intuition and give you messages to work with in your day to day.
I recommend doing this in the morning when you are still quiet and take it as a message throughout your day.
Alternatively,
Do it right before bed and see what dreams it may bring.
So if you haven't already,
Settle yourself for your meditation and make sure that you have a deck of tarot cards that you like with you.
Find a spot that feels right to you and you may want to gather other magical or spiritual objects to help you in this space.
Photos of ancestors,
Resonant art,
Candles and crystals.
For some witches,
This is called an altar.
Light your candle if you're using one.
Close or soften your eyes.
Let your awareness drop down into the earth,
The land that you are on and your relationship with this land.
Consider the season,
The time of day,
Maybe the phase of the moon if you know it.
Notice how all this feels in your body.
Now imagine a circle of protection around your space.
You could imagine light,
Chalk,
Salt,
Stones,
Whatever feels right to you.
Clarify that only energies in alignment with your highest good may enter the circle.
We ask that the work we do here benefit all and harm none.
None.
Whenever you feel ready,
You can begin to shuffle your tarot deck.
Keep your eyes closed or soft if you can.
Just stay in this gentle place of reflection as you shuffle.
And as you continue to do this,
Ask your question or make your request for guidance.
It may be something specific there that you want to know about or you may just be opening to whatever spirit wants you to know today.
I like to shuffle until it feels right.
Some like to have a certain number of shuffles that they do each time.
As I'm shuffling,
I also like to split the deck in half and reverse one half as I shuffle to bring in some reversals,
But not everyone does this.
You don't have to.
It's up to you.
You're just shuffling in whatever way feels most right.
A huge part of this practice,
Maybe the point of this practice,
Is that we're trusting our intuition,
So no second guessing.
So when it feels right or when you're ready,
We'll stop shuffling and we'll pull a card.
I like to place the deck down and then with my left hand,
My non-dominant hand,
I cut the deck in half and then I pull the top card,
But you could also just pull from wherever feels right.
You could spread the cards out and pick one.
However you want to do it,
Again,
Is perfect.
Find your card.
Once you've done that,
Observe it.
Look at your card.
Notice the colors,
Shapes that you see.
If there's a face on the card,
How does it look to you?
Does it remind you of anyone?
What feelings arise in your body as you observe this image?
What symbols do you notice and do any of them resonate with you in particular?
You may already have some knowledge or associations about this card.
It can be there,
But let them be an aspect of the information you're gathering,
Simply by observing.
If you don't know the first thing about this card,
That's perfect.
Just observe it.
What is your intuition telling you that the card means?
If there's a character,
A person,
Or an animal on the card,
Imagine them communicating with you,
Talking to you,
Telling you something.
Notice what they say.
If there are animals or other creatures on this card,
What do they feel like to you?
Is there something they might want to show you?
Take your time.
Trust what your intuition wants you to know.
If it feels right,
You could do some journaling here.
Once you have a clear sense of the card's images for yourself,
You can,
If you want to,
Go ahead and read the description of the card in your guidebook.
You don't have to do this,
Okay?
It may add some helpful pieces and it may not.
If you'd rather not,
Just sit with what the card is telling you.
Trust that intuition.
And there may be something that comes forward that you want to take with you into your day,
Some message or guidance.
And there may not.
You can simply allow this card to do its magic in your day,
In the back of your mind,
Or maybe it'll come up in your dreams.
Just allow that.
Be open to whatever this is going to look like for you today,
And it might be different every day.
So when your practice feels complete enough,
You can place the card back into your tarot deck.
I reshuffle the cards for a moment.
And if that feels right,
You can do that too.
And thank them for their guidance.
Thank the land,
The circle of protection,
Your guides,
And anyone else you want to offer thanks to.
Your tarot meditation is complete for today.
Thank you for listening.
