This practice introduces you to four breathing spaces in your body; abdomen, chest, ribcage and back body. Complete breathing improves breath coordination and awareness. The breathing practice helps you tune in to the way your breath expands and contracts and how the breath, musculature and fascia are an interconnected system. When the space around your lungs is mobile your breath can move more efficiently. Use this practice to build mind-body-breath awareness, or simply use it for rest and relaxation. If you are new to this practice, I recommend listening a few times a week until your ability to direct the volume of your breath into various parts of your torso improves.
