So Reiki means universal life force energy.
And as we'll be working today as a form of energy work.
Reiki is also a tradition.
It has a philosophical side.
I do have a course Here on Insight Timer on the Reiki precepts,
Which is that philosophical side.
And we often know it as energy work.
It's energy work like a lot of energy work.
We use the same energy system.
So we have meridians,
Chakras,
Lots of different energy centers and energy pathways in our bodies.
The difference between Reiki and some energy systems is that we're not when we're directing energy,
We're not directing our own energy,
But we're actually inviting it in from source and then directing it there.
So yeah,
Reiki is energy work.
It's energy that comes from source.
I don't I cannot say where it comes from only that it does come.
And there are some things in Reiki that we don't know exactly how it works.
And so you will hear sometimes people trying to explain it.
But I think it's OK for us to admit that sometimes we don't know.
What I can say from.
Over a decade of teaching Reiki,
Of being a Reiki master and teacher,
And longer in practice is that energy.
Reiki Energy.
Is real and magical and wonderful.
So anybody can do Reiki.
And we are traditionally connected to reiki by reiki master or reiki teachers This is just to remind your energy system that the Reiki energy is there and to connect you in.
And that's all you need to practice Reiki.
