This meditation is called the hug.
I love hugs,
And I know most of us love hugs.
I love hugs from family and from friends,
And I especially love getting hugs from my dogs.
But nowadays though,
Our world sadly,
We are lacking in that hug category.
With this meditation,
Hopefully you will find a sense of hugging,
And learn to love yourself a little deeper,
And just know you can hug yourself anytime you need it.
Find a comfortable place,
Either sitting on the floor or in a chair,
Or maybe just lying down.
Really,
Wherever you are at this time is perfectly fine.
Now I'd like for you to take your right hand and cross your chest to your left shoulder.
And take your left hand and cross your chest to your right shoulder.
There is that little hollow below your shoulder,
And you can use your hands to gently caress that area,
Kind of just with your fingertips in an up and down movement.
And just know you're hugging yourself.
So seldom do we create the intention of loving on ourselves.
So hopefully this hugging technique is a great way to truly get in touch with you.
So let's go ahead and close our eyes,
Or just simply gaze downward.
But together now let's focus on some intentional heart breaths.
Just imagine taking a deep breath,
And then just gently just imagine taking a deep breath in through the back of your heart,
And then out through the front.
Just in through the back of the heart,
And out through the front of the heart.
And each time you're just filling up this beautiful pink space with nothing but positive thoughts,
As you repeat either out loud or silently these words of self-love.
And as you repeat these words,
Just continue to hug on yourself.
I choose to love myself.
I choose to hug myself intentionally with love.
I choose to embrace my beautiful body.
I choose to be grateful for this vessel that has been given to me to nourish and take good care of.
I choose to see the light within myself,
Within my heart,
And within my eyes.
And now what I'd like for you to do is to take your legs up to your chest and wrap your arms around your legs to just hug and love on the rest of your body.
If this is difficult for you to do,
Just simply place your hands on your heart.
I choose to embrace my soul.
I choose to embrace my spirit.
I choose to embrace my loving heart.
I choose gratitude every day.
I choose love every day.
Now,
Taking a couple of more really intentional heart breaths,
Just concentrate on filling up your heart with peace and with calm and most of all love.
Just in through the back of the heart and out through the front.
May I find love for myself within thine own heart and allow others to see me in this space.
For when I love myself completely,
Others feel when I'm in this place.
Do all things with love and hope,
For this is truly the way to happiness.
Do all things with gratitude and being able to love on ourselves and hug on ourselves,
For this will really truly bring more abundance into your life.
Be sure to give thanks and most of all,
Be sure to love on yourself,
For there is only one of you.
