The 20th Tara (known in Tibetan as Tara Ritrö Loma Gyönma and in Sankskrit as Tara Śabarī--which is sometimes transliterated as Shabari /Shavari or Śavarī/Śabarī/) is the Tara (Noble Lady) of the Forest mountain retreat, clothed in leaves, who removes contagious diseases. Her mantra Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Nama Tāre Manohara Hūṃ Hara Svāhā is a healing mantra that protects against disease and contagion. This mantra has both wrathful and peaceful aspects: energies of the sun emanate from this Tara's right eye, destroying and dispelling the invasive energies of virus and contagion and deadly epidemics. The moon energy of her left eye has a pacifying quality, healing all beings from disease and sickness.
