Whether you listen for sleep, during moments of anxiety and stress, or when you simply need to rest. God meets you where you are. This contemplative prayer invites you where effort softens and the soul is gently held in deep sleep and rest in the Presence of God, . Through prayerful words and sacred silence, you are guided into a place of surrender, allowing the body to relax and the mind to quiet with the gentle soft accompaniment of Dante Coluccio's music. Each time you return to listen, the prayer will deepen—opening you more fully into peace, stillness, and the loving Presence that remains with you always.

This moment is like no other.

There will never be another one like this one.

Here and now,

Hear the voiceless voice of God inviting you into his holy presence through the threshold of this glorious,

Sacred moment.

Sit comfortably with your eyes closed,

Yet fully awake,

Fully attentive.

Feel your body breathing naturally,

Giving attention to your inhale.

As your lungs expand,

Pause and exhale.

Follow the movement of your breath.

Notice the gentle movement as your lungs fill with new breath.

The pause as the breath turns to exhale and leaves your body.

Sitting in silence,

Refrain from any movement.

Follow your body,

Sitting with feet resting on the floor,

Legs,

Arms relaxed,

Hands resting on your lap,

Letting each finger relax,

Feeling the warmth of your palms on your legs.

With each breath,

Let your muscles relax and soften.

Notice the deep pull of stillness within you,

Beneath any physical sensation,

Any feeling,

That deep stillness,

The essence of the presence of God within you.

As we pray,

My Lord,

My God,

Healer and Redeemer,

I am here,

Grateful for this moment,

Grateful for your invitation on my life.

I let go of my own agenda.

I let go of whatever I think I need.

I let go of my thoughts,

My feelings,

My emotions.

I let go of my plans,

Even my hopes and dreams.

I let go,

I let go,

As much as I'm able.

Help me to release all that I am,

And all that I'm not,

Into your care.

I surrender,

I surrender,

I surrender to your holy presence within.

I surrender to your healing presence.

I surrender to you,

As you love me into a wholeness that I cannot even imagine.

My heart says yes.

I surrender.

Come Holy Spirit,

Come.

Come Holy Spirit,

Come.

In the depth of the still silent presence within,

Remain in this moment,

Resting in God.

For God is resting in you.

You may introduce your sacred word.

Become aware of it.

Let it rest in your heart,

In your mind,

In your mind,

In your awareness.

It may be the word yes.

Peace,

Love,

Your word.

It's only this symbol of your loving surrender.

As you continue to be aware of your body breathing,

You may notice that your mind is bringing up thought after thought.

It's okay.

It's part of the prayer.

Let each thought pass like the scene of a movie.

You can't control it.

You can't change it,

Nor do you want to.

Just let it pass.

Do not cling to any thought.

Do not judge any thought as good or bad.

Let each thought dissipate,

Just on the lake.

When you notice that you're engaged by a thought,

Perhaps a conversation in your mind,

Or even an external noise,

Or a feeling or sensation,

Anything that would pull you out of this moment and engage you.

When you notice that you've wandered away,

Be very gentle with yourself.

Simply return to noticing your breath.

Return to your sacred word.

Breathe and return to your surrender,

Feeling your body in this moment.

Rest in the presence of the Holy One who is resting within you.

Rest in this sacred pull of forgiveness.

Rest in this ever-deepening peace.

Rest in the presence of pure love.

Rest in the embrace of the tender heart of God.

Rest in the warmth of the light of Christ.

Know that Jesus is with you in this stillness,

Making it possible for you to intimately dwell within the presence of Christ.

I will never leave you.

Nothing can separate you from the perfect love of God.

Nothing.

All gratitude to you,

Our Most High God,

For your love that is transforming my life.

I receive you.

I long to live in,

To live with,

To live through your Holy Presence,

Guided by your love and peace.

Now and always.

Let it be so.

This is really beautiful for falling asleep at night or in the middle of the night. I just made it to the end recently because I always fall asleep. Thank you for this beautiful meditation. (no feet on the floor for me here) I fall into a deep sleep with these beautiful words. God bless you and thank you. ✨✨✨✨🙏🏼🕊️✨✨✨✨

This is such a calming prayer of surrender, I have listened to it several times already. I recommend this equally for a daytime rest in God’s embrace or an additional bedtime prayer into sleep. 🙏🏻🕯️🌱🕊️
