Today we're going to create a Mandela as a meditative tool.

The word Mandela is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit and loosely translated it means circle.

A Mandela is far more than just a simple shape though.

It represents wholeness and it can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself.

It's a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite and the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.

Creating a Mandela is a very useful and therapeutic tool that can be used as an active form of meditation.

All you need is some paper,

Colored pencils,

Crayons or texas and something that you will allow you to draw a circle.

For example a compass.

I like to use a plate and I draw a circle around a plate and that's my outline for my circle.

The circle as outlined above is a very important part of the Mandela creation process as it's like a container and it represents the infinite and it will hold the energy of your manifested drawing.

So what I'd like you to do now is to find yourself a quiet space in which you can complete this meditative process and please have your pencils and crayons and paper ready to go.

You may like to light a candle as well during this process.

The first part of the Mandela that I spoke about is from a book that I have read called Mandela Journey to the Center by Bailey Cunningham if anybody wants to look that up.
