Hi,

This is Michelle.

Thanks for joining me for this sleep story.

Tonight we'll hear a story about a mighty lion and a tiny mouse.

A story of kindness and unexpected friendship.

So settle in and close your eyes.

Let's drift away to a world of soft whispers and gentle dreams.

Once upon a time,

In a quiet forest,

Where the moon beams danced through the trees,

Lived a lion named Leo.

Leo was a king of the forest,

But he was also kind and gentle.

One evening,

After a long day exploring the forest,

Leo was fast asleep,

Curled up in a bed of soft moss.

He was breathing so softly,

It was almost a purr.

Hmm.

Hmm.

Suddenly,

A tiny squeak echoed through the forest.

A small mouse,

No bigger than your thumb,

Named Pip,

Had stumbled upon Leo.

Squeak!

Pip,

Startled by Leo's size,

Ran across Leo's nose,

Causing him to wake up.

Hmm.

Leo,

Still sleepy,

Opened his eyes and saw Pip.

He was going to make a mistake,

But then he remembered his kindness.

Little one,

Leo said,

His voice as soft as the moonbeams,

What are you doing here?

Squeak!

Pip,

Scared,

Could only squeak.

Leo,

Instead of being angry,

Gently nudged Pip away.

Go,

Little one.

Leo said,

It is not safe to be here.

Pip,

Relieved,

Scurried away.

Leo closed his eyes,

Feeling a warmth in his heart.

As the moon continued to shine,

Leo and Pip went to sleep.

They dreamed of the quiet forest and the gentle kindness that brought them together.

Now close your eyes,

Little one,

And drift off to sleep.

May your dreams be as gentle and kind as the lion and the mouse.

Good night.
