Welcome to this Yoga Nidra Journey to the Stars,
A guided meditation.
Before we begin I want you to think for a moment of a problem you're currently facing that you're looking for some guidance for.
Keep that in mind because as you go on this journey you will have the opportunity to ask for some answers and some guidance.
When you are ready,
Find a comfortable position lying on your back.
Let your body completely relax.
Close your eyes and allow yourself to feel supported by the ground beneath you.
Let your arms rest by your sides,
Palms facing up.
Gently take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly and fully.
We are about to embark on a journey to the stars.
Your intention is to seek clarity,
Guidance or an answer to a current issue you are facing.
Hold your breath and breathe in.
Hold this intention gently in your mind like a soft flame.
Bring your awareness to your body.
Feel your toes,
Your feet,
Your ankles,
Your hips,
Your back.
Take note of your fingers,
Your hands,
Your forearms,
Elbows,
Your upper arms,
Your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your head.
Do a scan of your body.
Notice any tension you may be holding on.
Take a nice deep breath in,
Breathe out and invite that tension to soften and leave your body.
Feel each breath moving through you like a wave of calm as you release.
Now mentally repeat the phrase,
Take a deep breath in,
Breathe out and invite that tension to soften and leave your body.
As you release,
Now mentally repeat the phrase,
I am here,
I am safe,
I am open.
Let it echo gently within you.
I am here,
I am safe,
I am open.
Now shift your focus to your breath.
Feel the air as it moves in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Allow the breath to slow naturally.
Imagine with each inhale you are gathering calm energy and with each exhale you are releasing any worries from your mind and body.
Picture yourself lying in a beautiful open space under the night sky.
Above you the stars shine brightly,
Twinkling like diamonds.
With every breath you take,
You feel lighter,
As if you are beginning to float upward.
Visualize yourself gently rising,
Weightless and free.
The stars draw closer as you ascend into the vast,
Peaceful expanse.
Of the cosmos.
You are surrounded by a shimmering light,
Infinite and safe.
Ahead you notice a particular star glowing brighter than the others.
You are drawn toward it.
Allow yourself to approach,
Feeling its warmth and wisdom radiating out toward you.
This star holds a message for you.
Silently ask the star for guidance regarding the issue you are facing.
Hold your question or problem in your mind with clarity.
And be patient,
Trusting that the answer will come.
Now remain still and open,
As though listening to the quiet wisdom of the universe.
Notice any feelings,
Images,
Words or sensations that arise.
Trust that whatever comes to you is a message meant for you.
When you feel ready,
Begin to gently drift away from the star,
Bringing its guidance and light with you.
Slowly return through the cosmos,
Descending back toward the earth.
Feel yourself floating down,
Through the sky and gently back into your body.
Become aware of your breath again.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
Feel the connection between your body and the ground beneath you.
Take a moment to reflect.
You may or may not have received an answer in words,
But know that clarity will continue to unfold in its own time.
Whisper to yourself,
I am guided.
I am supported.
I trust the wisdom within me.
I am guided.
I am supported.
I trust the wisdom within me.
When you are ready,
Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Stretch your body gently.
Open your eyes and come back to the here and now.
You are now ready to move forward,
Carrying the peace and the wisdom of the stars with you.
