Kia ora everyone,

Welcome to this live.

You're with me,

Nick Chung.

Come on in and say hi as we get started on today's topic.

So if you haven't joined me before,

How these work is that we talk for about 30 minutes on the topic and I'm live here usually three times a week,

I'm actually having a break for two weeks and then we're gonna be back on October 9th with our usual schedule.

And on my talks,

Which is what you have attended today,

We do we start off with a meditation.

So we do a meditation based on what we're talking about today.

We're talking about energy aligned leadership and how to hold the frequency of your big bold dream.

Then we drop into the topic and I talk for about 15 to 20 minutes and I try to give you three like one to three potent points and some practical ways for you to go forward and implement what it is that you have learned from today's talk.

Okay so that's really really important.

I want to make sure that you're not just gathering more knowledge but you're actually getting things that are useful for you to go and create more positive spaces now.

And then tied in with that is that I offer you some journal prompts at the very end.

So if you have a journal or a pen and paper or just the notes on your cell phone,

Get those ready.

And those are an opportunity for you to go and reflect,

Self-reflect on what we have talked about and how that applies to you.

And then of course that makes this topic more applicable and more more tailored for your situation so that you can go ahead and make more change.

Okay so it's a really like juicy 30 minutes together and I hope that you can stick around for the whole thing.

So today we're talking about energy aligned leadership.

How to hold the frequency of your big bold dream.

So remember that spiritually speaking everything has an energy or a frequency.

And so today we're kind of asking what is your frequency what is your energy signature as they say.

And does it align with your big bold dream.

For those of you who don't know what your big bold dream is that's my version of your vision.

I hated the word vision because we hear about it so much in leadership circles.

And it sounds like one of those words where people say they have a vision and it's really flaky and boring and small.

And so I have invited you to create instead of a vision a big bold dream.

Something that is bigger than you which I already know you have because you're a conscious leader who wants to make changes that not only help you but help change the world.

But also big enough so that you are reaching for greatness.

And I'm really obsessed with helping you reach your potential okay.

So that's why it's big bold dream.

So everything is a frequency.

Does yours your personal energy signature align with your big bold dream.

Today we're going to talk about that.

We're going to talk about what energy is.

How that relates to the physical reality that we are in.

How we create our frequency or energy signature.

And what that means in terms of your experience.

And whether you are on the pathway to realizing your big bold dream.

So let's get started with our drop-in or our meditation.

Allowing all of us to come here now and make the most of this time that we have together.

So if it's safe for you to do so close your eyes down.

Relax your body.

Let your hands rest somewhere comfortable.

And just start to tune into the breath.

And every meditation we start with this very basic idea of relaxing the body and following your breath.

The breath being the connector of our physical selves with our spiritual selves.

And also the tool of which we can become more present to now.

And the tool that we can allow ourselves to relax through the body.

Relax through the mind.

And relax through our energy.

So take note of how your breath is today.

Perhaps notice the quality of your breath.

And by quality I mean the length,

The speed,

The width,

The depth,

And the smoothness.

And if your breath has,

If you've noticed within your breath a quality that you would like to make more preferable for you.

Now is the time.

Perhaps you want to make your breath slower and deeper and wider and smoother.

So adjusting your breath also,

Adjusting your breath on a physical level,

Also has this knock-on effect of adjusting your mind and your spiritual self or energy.

You may notice that with these more quality breaths that you are taking,

That your mind has slowed down,

That it is more spacious,

Wide,

And open.

And as we quieten the mind we give ourselves a chance to tap into or to notice more powerfully or with more precision our energy.

And our energy is this underlying beingness of us.

So what is the energy of you?

How do you be right now?

How are you being right now?

And some of you may,

Some of you may become aware of your energy as a vision.

So you may see like a line and you may see it being smooth or you may see it being jagged or like a heartbeat.

So kind of a bit erratic.

Some of you will feel it like a movement of some sort.

So it might feel shaky or it might feel solid and still.

Some of you may perceive it as being fast or slow or erratic.

Some of you will have a knowing of what your energy is at this moment and how you be.

And others of you may use your other senses of taste and smell to sense how your energy is today.

So don't worry if you don't have that insight just yet.

Just know that the more that you practice tuning into your beingness or your energy signature,

The clearer that it comes to you.

So remain open and curious.

And so we'll wrap up this meditation with a little intention of asking for your energy to be in alignment with the big bold dream that you have.

So you may just want to say that in your mind's eye.

May my energy be in alignment to my big bold dream.

May any energies that I currently occupy that are not in alignment with my big bold dream,

May they dissolve and disappear.

May I step into the energy frequency that matches me to my big bold dream being realized.

And take a nice deep breath,

A few deep breaths,

Just anchoring that intention into your body,

Into your cells.

And when you're ready,

Opening your eyes.

I'm Nick Chung.

Today we're talking about energy aligned leadership and how to hold the frequency of your big bold dream.

So let me know that you're landed back in and we'll get started with the lecture at hand.

Can we have a different word for lecture?

Talk.

The talk that we're going to have,

The juicy talk that we're about to have about energy aligned leadership.

So those of you who have never joined me before,

I help you.

I'm Nick Chung.

I help you to create more positive and empowering workspaces wherever you may be through the lens of conscious leadership.

And conscious leadership is really about you choosing that you are the person who's going to create positive change,

Right?

Leadership in this context doesn't mean that you have it in your role.

You may not be a leader wherever it is that you are working.

However,

You've decided that I am the person who's going to make these positive changes.

And my big bold dream,

Since we're talking about big bold dreams today,

Is about helping you to do your leadership better.

And through you changing your workplaces into these positive,

Empowering spaces for all,

We have this ripple effect out into the rest of the world.

So that society changes into this really conscious,

Compassionate,

And kind place to be.

So let's talk about today.

Energy aligned leadership.

How to hold the frequency of your big bold dream.

So in our meditation that we just did,

We were trying to get a sense of how your energy exists in you.

Or we're trying to get a sense of you feeling your energy or your beingness.

Did people manage to get that?

Let me know.

Just either pop in hearts or pop in yeses.

So let's talk about what energy is firstly today,

Okay?

And how is yours made up?

Sometimes when we talk about energy in the spiritual sense,

I don't feel like many people explain it really succinctly.

They're like,

Oh you kind of feel it or you kind of don't.

And that for me,

Especially at the start of my spiritual journey,

That was very frustrating for me,

Me being quite logical.

I was like,

I will trust you on this because I know that there's a lot of trust and faith that's needed with these experiences that we can't logically explain.

However,

I think there are some keys as I've gone along in the last 20 years of exploration.

There are keys of which we can attach this idea of energy to.

So let me share that with you.

So what is energy and how is yours made up?

We talked about this a little bit yesterday on our live about your energy being made up of your identity.

And your identity is made up of these things,

Your beliefs,

Your thoughts,

And your behaviors.

And all of these things in terms of a spiritual perspective,

Your beliefs,

Your thoughts,

And your behaviors have an energy or they are energy.

And so those collections of things becomes your energy signature or your frequency or your beingness.

I love the idea of beingness because it's not something that we necessarily have to do.

It's just how we be or how we are.

I say be because it is really like a living embodiment of it.

And so when we think about our energy,

Often people are unconscious to the energy that they have.

And so this is why it's useful to be able to differentiate parts that equate to making up our energy because then we have a chance to change that,

Right?

So now that you know that your beliefs,

Your thoughts,

And your behavior create this beingness or this energy frequency that you carry around through your world,

You can now get curious as to well how can I change those things to allow me to be in alignment with my big bold dream?

Yeah?

Is that helpful?

So your energy is made up of your beliefs,

Your thoughts,

Your behaviors,

Which equates to your beingness.

Now remember that these things also can be unconscious.

So we have to start to get more curious and more observant of our unconscious beliefs,

Our unconscious thoughts,

And our unconscious behaviors or habitual biases of thoughts,

Beliefs,

And behaviors.

This is really where it starts to get more fun.

It's very easy to extract that which is conscious.

So we could write down in a journal all our beliefs,

All of our thoughts,

All of our behaviors that we do,

That we know of.

But then where it gets more transformative for you is when you start to uncover that which was previously unconscious.

So the things that you're not aware of.

And how we can do that is several ways.

One is get a coach and mentor,

Really,

Really helpful because they reflect to you.

They can see straight away what's going on with you.

So that's really,

Really helpful.

Or a trusted friend who knows you really well and can give you feedback.

So feedback is really,

Really useful for uncovering unconscious thoughts,

Beliefs,

And behaviors.

Another way is to observe the current reality that you are in.

So use the external environment as a reflection of what is happening inside here.

We can start to use the external environment to reflect to us how it is that we are thinking,

What it is that we believe,

And how it is that we then interact with the world or how we behave or take action in the world.

So just know that,

Yes,

It's good,

It's useful for you to understand your conscious beliefs,

Thoughts,

And behaviors.

Even more transformative when you can uncover that which was previously unconscious.

So that is your energy.

And I know we're racing through because we only have 30 minutes together,

Okay?

Okay,

So we've done your energy and what yours is made up of.

And from a spiritual perspective,

This creates your frequency or your energy signature.

And from a spiritual perspective,

Like attracts like.

And I just want to give you this perspective of what the physical reality is made up of.

So scientifically,

Or physics from physics,

Physical reality is energy.

So what appears physical is actually mainly energy.

So we are about 99% energy.

We are gathered together,

Our atoms,

Our physical cells,

At an atomic level,

Is gathered together by electromagnetic energy.

Not the same energy as we're talking about here,

Okay?

That's slightly different.

But just know that on a physical level,

We are made up more of energy than we are of physical matter.

And then when we think about physical matter,

Like me being here,

Or should I say this cup being here,

We're really observing energy gathered at a certain point that we can observe it.

Okay,

So physical reality,

If you don't get that,

Don't worry.

I'm trying to like shove in a lot of things in a very short amount of time.

Just know that physical reality is really energy,

Okay?

So what we deem as physical is actually energy.

And then if we take it from a spiritual perspective that like attracts like,

Then what it is that we admit in terms of our frequency or our energy can attract or make it more likely for you to experience physical reality as that which you are feeling,

Or that which you are being.

Does that make sense for you?

So if physical reality,

What we deem physical is actually just energy,

And like attracts like,

Then we have this job,

This internal job to make our energy,

That is our beliefs,

Thoughts and behaviors,

Our beingness,

Match the big bold dream that you have.

So the question then becomes,

What is the energy frequency of your big bold dream?

And we've talked about this in other lives,

I'm not going to go that into that today,

But you can check out some of my other talks that I've recorded about your big bold dream on my insight timer.

So if you haven't already followed me,

The question remains,

What is the frequency of your big bold dream?

And how can your personal frequency match that?

So some of it is really like,

Living your big bold dream now.

That's the easiest way to say it,

Without going into too much detail.

Live your big bold dream now.

Be the person who is living their big bold dream right now.

Who is that person?

What do they think?

What do they believe?

How do they behave?

What do they believe about the world?

Yes,

Very interesting looking at the external.

Yes,

The external is a very good reflection of our inner world.

So talking about that,

The external being a reflection of our inner world,

There's a lot of theories that agree with each other about physical reality,

Not just being this physical separate entity from us.

It's actually a co-creative experience.

One of these theories actually comes from physics.

You may have heard about this before,

The Conscious Universe.

It's a quite an easily accessible physics book.

And it talks about the theory of the physical reality being a participatory or relational universe.

And what that just means is that how we relate to our physical world influences it.

So how we relate with the outside world influences what it is that we then experience.

And then of course we have this thought from our spiritual traditions too.

So the Buddha reminds us that with our thoughts we make the world.

Our inner thoughts create our reality.

And if we look at Christianity,

Paul writes we are God's co-workers.

We are in co-creation with our physical universe.

I find this is a really useful perspective for many of my clients,

Because they may be stuck in the idea that the physical reality is separate to them.

And I can understand that because we live in a physical body,

Which is designed to look as if we are separated from the rest of the world.

Even my skin,

Me being in this body,

Is designed to make me feel like I'm separate from you,

Or separate from this cup of tea.

However,

That's not necessarily true.

We may look as if we are physically separate,

And therefore if we are separate we don't have any influence on that which is separate from us.

But there's more and more perspectives that are supporting the idea of this co-creative universe that we live in.

So if you are in co-creation with the universe,

That is how you interact with the universe or reality,

Informs how reality actually exists for you,

And you are an energy being that is working within a world of like attracts like,

Then can you see how important it is to start to understand your own frequency,

And how to match that to your big bold dream,

So that you can make it a reality.

So any questions so far?

I actually,

When I was preparing for this topic,

I thought,

I think I've bitten off more than I can chew for 30 minutes,

Because honestly,

I could talk about this particular topic for days on end.

I have in previous coaching cohorts,

This would be broken down into like several weeks of learning.

But remember that when we're learning something,

We often just take what we're ready for.

So whatever you took from today,

Whatever you're ready for,

You will embody that,

And you will start to learn that.

And then maybe this will be a talk that you come back to,

And say another three months,

Another six months,

And then next time you listen to it,

You'll take more,

And you'll go,

Oh,

I understand more,

Right?

And all of these things also relate to a lot of the other topics that I've already talked about.

And you can again,

Check these out on my insight timer.

So what we've talked about today,

Very briefly,

Is this.

We've talked about how your energy is made up of your beliefs,

Thoughts,

And behaviors.

We've talked about how this creates your energy frequency or signature.

And from a spiritual perspective,

Remember,

Like attracts like.

The physical reality is actually energy.

And what appears physical is actually just energy gathered at the moment that you observe it.

So it's not as solid as you think.

And so us being energy beings,

And the physical reality being energy beings,

And like attracting like,

Means that we have the ability to change our frequency,

To then inform reality,

To change its physical self,

To become the big,

Bold dream that we envision.

Yeah?

Isn't that exciting?

I think it is.

And so remember that your physical experience out there,

What you're experiencing externally,

Equates to your beingness.

And so we can also,

In that way,

Use the external environment to reflect on that which is unconscious for us.

And that is where the transformation really starts working with when you start doing energy work,

Or working on your energy,

Is when you can make the unconscious conscious and change that to match the thing that you are after,

Like your big,

Bold dream.

Okay.

So hopefully I nailed that conclusion and you're like,

Ah,

Okay.

So whatever it is that you captured today,

Take that with you,

Run with it.

And then when you've kind of nailed that,

Come back and listen to this talk and you'll probably grab something else again.

Okay.

So I'd love to leave you with some journaling questions because I believe that we're not here to gather more knowledge,

We're here to implement and actually make change in our lives.

Okay.

So part of that is reflecting on what you've learned today to make it more specific for you,

So that you can start to take this out right now,

Today,

Into your workplaces and change the world.

The first question is,

What specific beliefs,

Thoughts,

Behaviors,

Or beingness is out of alignment with my big,

Bold dream?

So what we're trying to do there is really look at more of the,

What you're conscious of.

You could add to that,

What experiences am I having that are revealing my thoughts,

Beliefs,

And thoughts and behaviors that are out of alignment with my BBD?

And if you were to do that question,

You would start to reveal or make the unconscious conscious.

Okay.

So please write these down and take some time today to reflect on them.

The next question is,

What thoughts,

Energy,

Or behavior would be more in alignment with my BBD?

So actually the first question for that is,

What is my BBD?

Okay.

And if you want to know more about that,

In particular,

The last question is,

What thoughts would help me become a co-creative partner with the universe?

This one is more designed to get you thinking about,

I am in co-creation.

I am not separate to the external world.

And I think this is one of those switches that becomes very helpful for you creating the reality that you desire,

Because it feels more like we are part of this tapestry of reality,

Rather than the separate entity kind of playing in physical reality.

So any questions,

Let me hang on for a little bit longer for maybe another couple minutes.

Let's look at some of these.

Energy drain pops up.

Oh,

Okay.

Yeah,

Yeah.

When you're feeling really flat,

How does this affect the concept you're talking about?

So it's really interesting because there's two sorts of energy.

And this is where language actually becomes more of a hindrance than help.

So the energy that I feel that you're talking about is this physical energy.

Okay,

So physical and mental energy drain.

And that exists,

That does exist,

Right?

That's like our physical,

Very human experience of energy.

The energy that we're talking about is more like a beingness,

A signature.

So say you have that friend who always makes you feel really good about being with them.

Like they just have a really good energy.

Okay,

They have a really good energy.

Their presence,

And it's more like presence,

Their presence feels really good.

That's the kind of energy that we're talking about.

So when your energy drain in terms of mental or physical energy drain happens,

Doesn't need to affect your beingness,

The underlying frequency of who you are.

Does that make sense?

Let me know.

And did I answer that correctly?

Yes,

Understanding a little more.

That would be good to consider fatigue versus presence.

Yes,

Exactly.

So we just have to be aware of when we talk about energy,

What kind of energy we're talking about.

And actually it was interesting when I've gotten my book reviewed by a physicist,

He was very clear with me about making a clear delineation between spiritual concepts of energy and then physical or physics concepts of energy because they've been different.

So I think what is difficult,

As I said before,

Is that we have this thing called language that doesn't often allow us the nuances that we actually need.

So we've got like three understands of energy here.

We've got like physical or physics,

Science related energy,

Then we've got spiritual energy,

And then we've got this like physical mind energy.

So this is why we kind of have to be very clear with our speaking.

So hopefully I've made that clear for you.

Okay,

Let's wrap up today.

I hope that you go and do those journaling questions because they're really important for you to make it more specific for you.
