The birth of Jesus foretold by the prophets.
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign,
Behold the virgin will conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isaiah chapter 7 verse 14.
Behold I send my messenger and he will prepare the way before me and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple.
And the messenger of the covenant whom you desire behold he comes says Yahweh of armies.
But who can endure the day of his coming and who will stand when he appears?
For he is like a refiner's fire and like a launderer's soap.
And he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them as gold and silver.
And they shall offer to Yahweh offerings in righteousness.
Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to Yahweh as in the days of old,
As in ancient years.
Malachi chapter 3 verses 1 to 4.
But you Bethlehem,
Mephratha,
Being small among the clans of Judah,
Out of you one will come out to me that is to be ruler in Israel,
Whose goings out are from old,
From ancient times.
Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth.
Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel.
He shall stand and shall shepherd in the strength of Yahweh in the majesty of the name of Yahweh his God and they will live.
For then he will be great to the ends of the earth.
Malachi chapter 5 verses 2 to 4.
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.
The light has shined on those who lived in the land of the shadow of death.
For a child is born to us.
A son is given to us and the government shall be on his shoulders.
His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
With the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end.
On David's throne and on his kingdom to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on even forever.
The zeal of Yahweh of armies will perform this.
Isaiah chapter 9 verses 2,
6 and 7.
Comfort,
Comfort my people says your God.
Speak comfortably to Jerusalem and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished.
That her iniquity is pardoned,
That she has received of Yahweh's hand double for all her sins.
The voice of one who calls out,
Prepare the way of Yahweh in the wilderness.
Make a level highway in the desert for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill shall be made low.
The uneven shall be made level and the rough places are plain.
Yahweh's glory shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.
The voice of one saying,
Cry.
One said,
What shall I cry?
All flesh is like grass and all its glory is like the flower of the field.
The grass withers,
The flower fades because Yahweh's breath blows on it.
Surely the people are like grass.
The grass withers and the flower fades but the word of our God stands forever.
You who tell good news to Zion,
Go up on a high mountain.
You who tell good news to Jerusalem,
Lift up your voice with strength.
Lift it up.
Don't be afraid.
Say to the cities of Judah,
Behold your God.
Behold the Lord Yahweh will come as a mighty one and his arm will rule for him.
Behold his reward is with him and his recompense before him.
He will feed his flock like a shepherd.
He will gather the lambs in his arm and carry them in his bosom.
He will gently lead those who have their young.
Isaiah chapter 40 verses 1 to 11.
