Hello and welcome to your guided meditation on self-love.
My name is Laura,
Also known as Place in the Middle.
Take a moment and allow yourself to get quiet from within.
Perhaps you adjust your body or any pieces of your clothing.
Take a deep breath in and hold for a moment at the top of your breath.
When you're ready to exhale,
Release your exhale out through your mouth,
Slow and intentional.
Do this two more times,
Inhaling a full deep breath,
Pausing at the top,
Exhaling,
Releasing through your mouth.
One more time,
Inhaling a full deep breath,
Pausing at the top,
Exhaling,
Releasing through your mouth.
Thank yourself for intentionally choosing to take this time out of your day and giving yourself a little extra love.
We spend so much of our time trying to protect our hearts,
Closing them off,
Playing safe,
Choosing to shut down.
Sometimes we forget that by not allowing our hearts to feel what they need to feel,
We aren't protecting our hearts at all.
We're blocking them from speaking their truth.
Allow your heart to open.
If you feel as though you are rounding through your shoulders,
Holding any tension in your head or neck,
Actively choose to open up through your heart space.
Even if this feels a little uncomfortable,
Even if this feels a little vulnerable,
You are here,
Safe in your body,
Safe in your heart.
Allow this softening now through your heart space,
Softening the outer edges of it.
Imagine your heart opening just like a flower,
Soft,
Subtle,
Inviting.
Feel your heart open,
Expansive,
Warm.
Pay attention to your heartbeat.
Notice the rhythm.
Is it fast?
Is it slow?
Breathe into your heart space.
Feel your heart beating here for you here in this moment.
As your heart slowly starts to open up,
Remind your heart that it is safe.
You are safe.
Whatever you feel,
It is safe.
This space we are cultivating together is safe.
Start to visualize an inviting,
Warm color surrounding your heart space.
It does not matter the color.
Don't overthink it.
Allow the color surrounding your heart to be whatever it is.
Feel this color in your heart space and notice the subtleties of the color.
Is it bright?
Is it light?
Is it dull?
Is it muted?
Notice the color around your heart.
Allow yourself to feel this color within your heart,
Noticing if it is a warm sensation,
A cool sensation,
Or perhaps maybe it has no sensation at all.
Feel your heart space.
Feel the color as it moves,
Settles,
And surrounds your heart.
Notice now how your heart is feeling.
Don't overthink.
Don't analyze.
Don't judge your answer.
The first word that comes to mind,
Simply allow it.
How is your heart?
Stay with the feelings and sensations through your heart.
Stay with them,
Even if it feels a little uncomfortable,
Even if it feels vulnerable.
Be with your heart here.
Allow whatever thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions,
And sensations to be with your heart.
Be here with you in this moment.
Breathe into your heart space.
Each breath in,
Feel the heart opening and expanding.
Each breath out,
Feel the heart softening and relaxing.
Breathing in,
Your heart is safe,
Open,
Expansive.
Breathing out,
Your heart is warm,
Full,
And light.
Breathing in,
And breathing out with your heart.
Feel your heart from within.
As you continue to breathe into your heart space,
Allow these words to softly land within your heart.
Exhale,
Worthy.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Deserving.
Inhale,
I am.
Stay with your heart here,
Open,
Expansive.
And simply allow yourself to check in once again.
How is my heart feeling?
What is my heart telling me?
And as you're ready,
Slowly place your hands on your heart.
Take a few deep breaths here.
Inhaling through your nose,
Exhaling through your nose.
Thank your heart for all your messages you have received during our meditation together.
Thank your heart for all it does for you,
Even when we might not always want to feel it,
Sense it,
Or hear it.
Thank you so much for joining me in practice.
Whenever you're ready,
Gently open up your eyes and come back into your space.
May you choose to check in with a heart every day.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
