A Mind Like the Wind is a gentle spoken-word meditation for ADHD minds - the fast-thinking, deeply feeling, beautifully unconventional ones. This is not a practice to fix you or quiet you. It’s an invitation to rest inside who you already are. Through poetic reflection and compassionate recognition, this offering celebrates the ADHD mind as creative, intuitive, and alive with possibility - rather than something to be managed or contained.

Welcome to this celebration and recognition of ADHD.

Maybe you will find this a soft mirror being held up to your inner fire.

Let it find you just as you are.

Let it remind you your rhythm is not a flow,

It's a form of light.

A mind like the wind,

Wild,

True.

It doesn't walk straight,

It soars right through.

From cloud to colour,

Thought to flame,

It plays a different kind of game.

It sees the world in bursts of light,

In tangled stars and dreams at night.

It can feel too much and think too fast,

But oh,

Its brilliance everlasts.

So when you lose a thread again,

Or trip upon the what and when,

When the minutes melt and the plans get lost,

And you wonder if you're just too much,

Remember you are not a flow,

You are nature's spark,

You are wonder's law.

The world may ask for lines and boxes,

Tame your tide and lock your losses,

But you,

Dear soul,

Were born to flow,

To bloom in places others won't go.

To think in spirals,

To move with fire,

To feel the storm and still inspire.

You are not broken,

You are not too late,

You are wind song,

You are stargate.

So breathe,

Unclench,

Let the world wait.

Honour your rhythm,

Trust your flame,

You are not a problem to be solved,

You are a pattern yet to be understood,

A map written in stardust,

A pulse made of possibility,

And the world is better for the way you move through it.

You,

My wild and tender one,

You inspire.

Let this be your reminder that your mind is not a storm to be silenced.

You do not have to fit into straight lines,

You are here to fly in curves.
