Welcome back,
Love,
And before we begin,
Let's take a few deep breaths together,
Inhaling together through the nose,
And exhaling through the mouth.
One more deep breath in,
And out.
And last one,
Deep breath in,
And out.
And when you're ready,
You can close your eyes.
Let this prayer do the praying for you.
You don't have to say a word.
Just breathe,
Receive,
Let it find you.
Let the words land where they need to.
Oh life,
I don't want to waste this breath.
Let me not sleepwalk through the holy ache of being human.
Tear me from the blindness,
The pretending,
The numbing.
Let me wake up again and again to what's real.
Let me remember why I came.
To return,
To love,
To become whole again.
To fall into union with the mystery that birthed me.
And when my last breath comes,
When this fragile body loosens its grip,
Lift the veils,
Beloved.
Show me the great pattern,
The hidden symmetry in every heartbreak.
The secret meaning behind every joy and every loss.
May I see that nothing was wasted.
That it all belonged.
That every tear was a thread in a tapestry of my becoming.
Let me die knowing I lived awake.
Let me live knowing I will die free.
And exhale.
May this prayer be a seed in your heart.
May you walk through your life awake.
Remembering how precious this breath is.
