Skating Rink
by Artem Krykun
A skating rink has a vivid, textured soundscape. Skates glide with a steady hiss, weaving soft lines across the frozen surface, then break into quick scratches and abrupt swipes as skaters turn or stop. Now and then, a hollow tap or deep thump ripples through the ice, giving the space a subtle resonance. The atmosphere is alive with movement — a blend of smooth flow, sharp accents, and echoes that drift across the chilled air. Photo by Redney Diaz
