These two beautiful and powerful prayers will help you begin the day with Divine Grace. The prayers are written by Sri Swami Sivananda and Sri Swami Chidananda. The prayers are centered around developing love and dissolving negativity and also seeing the Divine in all forms. The ego-self wants to control life and is often generating thoughts & feelings of worry and anxiety. We can let go of our worries when we allow the Divine source of all life to take care of us.

Hello and welcome to this guided prayer session.

Sit in a relaxed position.

Close your eyes.

Place your hand at the centre of the chest or in a folded Namaste position.

Bring in an attitude of love and trust in your Divine Creator.

This is a prayer by Shri Swami Sivananda.

O adorable Lord of mercy and love,

Salutations and prostrations unto Thee.

Thou art omnipresent,

Omnipotent and omniscient.

Thou art Sat-Chet-Ananda,

Which is existence,

Knowledge,

Bliss.

Thou art the indweller of all beings.

Grant us an understanding heart,

Equal vision,

Balanced mind,

Faith,

Devotion and wisdom.

Free us from egoism,

Lust,

Greed,

Hatred,

Anger and jealousy.

Fill our hearts with Divine virtues.

Let us behold Thee in all these names and forms.

Let us serve Thee in all these names and forms.

Let us ever remember Thee.

Let us ever sing Thy glories.

Let Thy name be ever on our lips.

Let us abide in Thee forever and ever.

This is a prayer by Shri Swami Sivananda.

Glorious and almighty Lord,

Beloved Father of humanity,

God of love,

Compassion and grace,

At Thy feet we offer our worshipped homage.

Adorable presence,

Unique reality behind the impermanence of names and forms.

Thou who art the All-pervading Divine Spirit.

Thou who art within and without,

Above and below and all around.

Thou who art interpenetrating the whole of our being.

Thou who art the radiant light,

Beyond the darkness in the depths of ourselves.

Adorable presence,

Thou art the eyes of our eyes,

The ear of our ears,

The heart of our hearts,

The mind of our mind,

The breath of our breaths,

The life of our lives,

The soul of our souls.

Grant us,

Dear Lord,

To be aware of Thy presence here and now.

Grant us,

Dear Lord,

That we may know unceasingly that at every moment and in every action in our life,

We dwell in Thee and Thee dwell in us and in everything around us.

May Thy presence be felt by all beings of the earth,

Inspiring everyone to give up ill will,

Hatred and negative feelings and to create among all a link of love,

Devotion and service.

May all creatures see in Thee the unity of life.

May all creatures see in all things the unifying presence.

Worshipful homage unto Thee in whom all things come into being,

In whom all things exist and in whom all things ultimately subside.

Behind the appearances and changes of names and forms,

There remains an unchanged presence.

Grant us to know it and through this knowledge to make our life divine.

Namaste.

I’ve been trying to trust the universe, the divine, and the lessons that it’s teaching me to try to surrender, but when these teachings over the last few years that be very difficult, it’s very hard to believe that the divine has my back and it’s for my highest best life. I’ve come to surrender to my fate and truly wonder what positive lessons will at some point in the near future surface, as this has left me in a state of worry and anxiety, I am basically trying to pull myself out with this dark shadow
