Hello beautiful Insight Timer community.
We are on day 8 of our 30 day journaling challenge and in keeping with the new moon theme I have chosen another Oracle card from Yasmin Boland and this is from her other Moonology deck called Messages Oracle.
Interestingly enough the card I pulled today is Moonbeams Focus and I don't know about you but I have definitely been a bit scattered lately so this one is speaking loud and clear to me and it says having big dreams is a wonderful thing but drawing this card suggests you need to get more serious and focused when it comes to making your dreams come true.
To paraphrase Thomas Edison success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
You're very much on the right track but you need to hone your vision.
Where should you begin?
If you've been comparing yourself to other people this card is a strong reminder that comparison is the thief of joy.
You can only go at your own pace.
If someone or something is causing you to be distracted from your sole purpose this is the time to turn down the noise.
You're being asked to make a bigger effort in terms of moving toward your goal.
That may include having greater self-discipline and restraint.
Also remember that success is very rarely linear.
Even if you feel as though you're going around in circles you're still inching towards your goals but you do need to stay very focused right now.
Don't judge yourself or others too harshly.
Success takes time.
Focus on the positive.
Take time out if you need it.
Meditate.
Moonbeams are a combination of yin and yang.
The yin is the soft moonlight which comes from the yang,
The sun's harsher light.
This card is speaking to me in so many different ways.
There's so many things I need to focus on right now.
Trying to train the puppy.
My weight and exercise goals.
My decluttering goals.
Obviously I've got a lot going on so what I really need to do is focus.
I'm sure that you have a lot going on and you could benefit from some focus.
I'm gonna put five minutes on the clock and let's get to journaling.
Where can we focus?
Where can we narrow our vision and our dreams?
Okay so that was a little more than five minutes.
I probably went over by a minute or so but I obviously had a lot to say and I'm sure that you did too.
So for the rest of the day let's keep that focus and let's see where we can make things better and how we can just make ourselves feel better.
I hope this journaling practice is helping you and I hope you're realizing that you don't need to spend hours journaling.
A few minutes,
Some thoughts on paper,
Some bullet points.
I find them very helpful and I hope you do too.
So tomorrow we'll be back with day nine.
Until then,
Take care.
