Beyond ideas of right and wrong, there is a quiet space where the soul remembers what it truly is. Taken from Rumi’s poem The Great Wagon, this reading is about that stillness beyond thought and division, where the light of the inner being awakens. Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, popularly known as "Rumi", is a 13th-century Sufi poet. Today, he is recognised as one of the greatest poets who ever lived, due in part to how his words seem to speak to the Divine. Photo by Diana Crestea. Translation by Coleman Barks.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,

There is a field.

I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass,

The world is too full to talk about.

Ideas,

Language,

Even the phrase,

Each other,

Doesn't make any sense.
