If you're a parent, you know it's sometimes hard to keep your cool while your child is having a tantrum. This meditation is designed to be used when you're at your boiling point. If you can excuse yourself for 3 minutes and give this a listen, you can regain control without catastrophe. The music was composed by Narek Mirzaei (Music of Wisdom).

Congratulations.

You just successfully defused a tantrum by stepping away and beginning this short meditation.

Whatever just happened,

Release it.

You are here now.

Please make sure your child is in a safe place before closing your eyes.

Breathe in for four counts.

Pause at the top and release for five.

We're going to repeat that a few more times.

Breathing in through your nose for four.

Watch as their chest rises and falls.

Be aware of their small hands,

Tiny toes.

It's all because of you.

You're doing a great job.

Let a soft smile pass over your face as you breathe in once more deeply.

Know that you are loved and your child is waiting to be loved by you.

Nothing more.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.
