In this track, I explore the idea that age is a matter of perspective, not a limitation. I share my reflections on how what feels “old” changes as we move through life, and why it’s time to let go of calling ourselves old. Join me in embracing a mindset of youthfulness and self-compassion, no matter your age.

I hear so many people calling themselves old,

No matter what age they are.

And it perplexes me that we all think our current age is old.

And I do it too.

I remember when I was 30,

I thought I was too old to braid my hair.

Now,

At a ripe age of 37,

I laugh that I thought 30 was old.

And then when I think about being 55 one day,

I know for a fact that I will think back to my 30s and 40s as young.

Just like you hear people who are 65 to 70 say that 50 is young.

So do you see the pattern?

Age is a perspective,

And it depends on where we are in that timeline,

What dictates our opinion about what old is.

So from now on,

I'm not going to call myself old.

It's just a mantra that I don't care to support.

So what do you think?

How old are you,

And how do you feel about aging?
