Welcome,
My name is Emily and I'm so glad you're here.
If life has felt busy,
Noisy or just too full lately,
This is your permission to take a moment to pause and reflect.
Let's begin by arriving together,
With a few intentional breaths to help settle into the space.
Take a slow breath in,
And a longer breath out,
And again.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaw soften,
Let the pace of the world move around you for a moment,
While you stay here.
If journaling has ever felt difficult,
If you've started and stopped before,
If you've ever thought,
I don't know what to write,
You're not alone in that.
This space isn't about writing something impressive,
It's about noticing small things and allowing your thoughts to land on the page,
Just as they are.
Messy is welcome here,
And simple is more than enough.
Today is not about measuring productivity,
It's about remembering that rest,
Slowness and stillness are valuable too.
You're allowed to do less for a while,
In fact today that is exactly what we are celebrating.
Before we begin writing,
Just take a moment to gently check in with yourself.
How are you arriving today?
No need to analyse,
Just notice.
You might like to set a small intention for this time,
Something soft and supportive like,
I'll write whatever comes,
Or I'll stay curious.
Let it feel light.
When you're ready,
Open your journal and begin with this simple invitation.
Dear me,
The most loving choice I can make right now is… You might notice a feeling,
A thought,
Or something small from your day.
There's no right way to do this,
Just let your pen move,
Even if it's only a few words.
I'll give you some prompts soon that you're welcome to use,
Or feel free to stay in the space and write freely.
Whatever comes most naturally to you at this moment,
Or whatever you feel you need most in this moment.
Remember you don't have to use all of the prompts and you can pause or rewind the track to go at your own pace.
Take your time,
I'll be right here with you.
Begin with this gentle invitation.
Dear me,
The most loving choice I can make right now is… Remember I always recap all of the prompts,
So don't worry if you miss one or you're not quite sure what I've said,
You will hear it again during the recording.
Here are today's prompts.
What has been feeling hectic lately?
What is asking too much of me right now?
Where could I soften or simplify?
What helps me feel calm and spacious?
Something I can release today.
What would enough look like for today?
And how can I enjoy doing less this week?
A recap of all of those prompts now,
Beginning with Dear me,
The most loving choice I can make right now is… What has been feeling hectic lately?
What is asking too much of me right now?
Where could I soften or simplify?
Where could I soften or simplify?
What helps me feel calm and spacious?
Something I can release today.
What would enough look like for today?
And how can I enjoy doing less this week?
Whenever you're ready,
Begin to gently finish writing.
Take one slow breath in and out.
You do not have to earn rest and you do not have to fill every moment.
Sometimes doing less is where life returns to you and carry that softness into the rest of your day.
Take a moment to notice how you feel now.
You've slowed the pace for a short time and that is something to be proud of.
Take a moment to look back at what you've written,
Not to judge it or analyse it,
But simply to notice.
Because you showed up,
You made space for yourself and that matters far more than what's on the page.
A few words,
Even a few minutes like this,
Is how a habit begins to grow.
Not through pressure,
But through small steady moments like this one.
You don't have to do it perfectly,
You just have to return.
Whenever you're ready,
You can close your journal,
Take another breath and gently return to your day,
Taking this intention with you.
Thank you for being here,
For sharing this space and for giving this time to yourself.
You're always welcome here,
So please do come back and join again.
If it felt helpful,
Please let me know or if you have any questions or suggestions,
Reach out.
I love to chat,
So drop into my messages,
I check them most days and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.
All that's left for me to say now is go gently,
Go slowly,
Go kindly and have the most wonderful day.
And I'll see you next time.
