Today I want to share with you a few steps that you can take to get rid of the feeling of loneliness and feel some elevated emotions.
The first step is actually what not to do.
If you've noticed we can be at a party,
Surrounded with friends and family and still feel lonely.
So I want you to pay attention this time.
Everywhere you go,
Any interactions that you have,
Whether it's a phone call or text,
See if it made you feel lonelier or better.
I want you to avoid the places you go or people you talk to that makes you feel lonelier.
Avoiding those phone calls,
Those places,
Would be the first step to take.
Don't make a scene about it.
Don't call your friends or your loved ones and tell them I don't ever want to see you again.
Hold it lightly.
Don't put too much pressure on it.
Just try not to interact with those people.
Just to make room for new interactions.
Now that you have a little bit of room for new interactions,
I want you to become regular in some places that you feel more welcomed.
Like your closest coffee shop or a nearby bookstore.
