Hope In Times of Loss: The Bottom Of The Sea

"I'm on the bottom of the sea, spirit's guiding me." With ambient sound recorded live in the underwater Fingal's Cave in the Western Hebrides, Scotland, a music video shot in the cave and other rural areas was a large part of this songwriting project (see Vimeo or YouTube). Life is not always easy, but we can turn sadness and loss around with feelings of hope and determination. Written after the sudden death of my mother, this song allowed me to express the deep sadness I felt, and to heal from it by going through it while also paying tribute to her and benefiting from the strength she gave me. I hope it can be healing for you, too. "I'll turn this all around."
