This meditation is designed to reflect on the change of seasons as a metaphor for life's changes and support you as you release anything that needs to be released.
I invite you to go for an autumn walk amongst fallen leaves.
Pause the recording now to ready yourself for this journey.
As you walk amongst the leaves,
Start with your gaze out and up,
Scaling the trees,
Noticing their colorful leaves and the way the wind makes them dance.
Dance as if they are celebrating a sweet release.
As you watch their joyful dance,
Notice leaves that break free.
Watch them as they fall gently to the ground.
Attach a symbol to those leaves,
The things that you yourself would like to release.
As you watch them fall to the ground,
Imagine letting go.
Perhaps it's letting go of doubts,
Or of old stories that no longer fit you.
Perhaps it's something in your past.
Perhaps it's a feeling of not enough.
Whatever those things are that you need to release,
Let them go with each falling leaf.
Those leaves are replaced now with sweet freedom.
Feel a lightness growing in you as you are actively shedding those things that have been weighing you down.
Letting go.
Let them go.
Let the gentle breeze bring you all the life and oxygen that your body needs as you take a deep breath in.
Fresh air washes through your body.
Feel the life and energy that it brings you.
Give yourself permission to delight in the life around you and within you.
Do not be afraid to explore what's inside.
Your beauty and love are at the core of who you are.
You are loved for who you are.
You are accepted and you belong.
Dance and sing your song to the world.
It rejoices with you wherever you are and who you are authentically.
Stay here as long as you need and as long as you'd like.
And when you're ready,
Continue walking back,
Giving gratitude for the peacefulness of this time and for the release and freedom you experienced.
Take with you those good moments that fill you with hope.
