Welcome.
This is a soothing breath practice to calm and support your nervous system.
As always,
You are sovereign here.
If at any point the breath feels uncomfortable,
You may return to natural breathing or simply listen.
The breath will meet you where you are.
Allow your body to rest into its support.
Feel the steadiness beneath you,
The simple truth of being held.
There is nowhere else you need to go.
Begin by noticing your natural breath.
No correction.
No effort.
Just noticing the inhale as it arrives and the exhale as it releases.
Imagine your breath like a tide and returning to the sea.
If it feels supportive,
Begin to allow the exhale to gently lengthen.
No counting.
No striving.
The inhale remains easy.
The exhale softens and lingers.
If extending the exhale does not feel good,
Return to your natural rhythm.
Listening is the practice.
With each unhurried exhale,
Imagine offering your body a quiet message.
You are allowed to soften.
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to manage.
Just this breath.
You may notice a pause at the end of the exhale.
There is no need to hold the breath.
Simply resting in the stillness until the inhale returns on its own.
This resting space is deeply regulating.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Notice what is present or simply honor that you took this moment.
When you are ready,
Gently open your awareness,
Carrying this sense of calm with you.
Thank you for breathing with me.
