We don't focus on what is seen,
But on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary,
But what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4 18 Lord,
I confess that too often I look to the things of this world for happiness,
Security,
Or self-worth.
I chase after earthly comforts and temporary pleasures,
But they never truly satisfy.
Bigger bank accounts can't buy peace.
Picture-perfect moments don't guarantee lasting joy.
Jesus,
Remind me that the things of this world are fleeting,
But your promises endure forever.
Help me set my heart on heavenly treasures,
Not earthly ones.
Teach me to seek you above all else and to trust in what is unseen,
Your eternal love and grace.
Strengthen me to live for what truly matters,
Wholly unto you as my anchor through life's uncertainties.
Thank you for the promise of what will never fade,
Your presence and everlasting kingdom.
In your heavenly and holy name we pray,
Amen.
