Hello little one.
It's time to get cozy and warm and comfortable in your bed.
You can let your body relax now.
Maybe you wiggle a little bit.
Maybe you stretch your arms or your legs.
And then allow your body to settle down like a soft cloud resting in the sky.
Take a slow gentle breath in through your nose and slowly breathe out.
Great.
And again,
Take a slow breath in through your nose and a slow breath out.
Now,
Imagine that above your house tonight is the most beautiful night sky.
The sky is deep blue,
Almost like velvet,
And filled with tiny glowing stars.
And one of those stars,
A very special star,
Is shining just for you.
And this star knows that it is bedtime.
And it knows that your body worked hard today,
Playing and learning,
Thinking and growing.
So that little star floats gently down through the sky.
Down and down and down.
Until it arrives right outside your window.
And the star is warm and soft and friendly.
It whispers softly,
Hello little one.
I'm here to help you drift into the most peaceful sleep tonight.
And as the star floats into your room,
It sparkles tiny sparkles of sleepy dust.
And this sleepy dust lands on your toes.
And your toes begin to feel warm,
Heavy,
And sleepy.
And your feet relax.
And the sleepy dust floats to your legs.
And your legs soften,
Loose,
And relaxed.
Now,
The star sprinkles more sleepy dust over your tummy.
Your tummy relaxes.
Your chest rises and falls slowly with calming breath.
And now,
The sleepy star floats over to your arms.
And your arms become loose and floppy,
Resting comfortably.
And finally,
The sleepy star floats near your head and gently sprinkles the last bit of sleepy dust over your eyes and your forehead.
Your eyes feel soft.
Your cheeks relax.
And your whole body feels warm and calm.
And that little star smiles.
Would you like to go on a tiny star adventure before you sleep?
And suddenly,
You notice something magical.
Your bed becomes as soft as a floating cloud.
And slowly,
Very slowly,
Your cloud bed lifts up,
Up through your room,
Up through the roof,
Up into the peaceful night sky.
And you float gently among the stars.
And the air feels calm and quiet.
And the moon smiles down at you.
The sleepy star guides your cloud bed through the sky where all the other stars are resting.
Some stars twinkle slowly.
And some stars glow softly.
One star yawns.
Another star stretches.
Because even stars need sleep.
And you float past the moonleg in the sky.
It's silver and smooth like a mirror.
And the moon whispers softly,
The world is sleeping now.
And your cloud floats slower and slower.
And the sleepy star says,
It's time to bring you back home to your cozy bed.
And the cloud slowly floats back down,
Down through the quiet sky,
Down past the stars,
Down towards your house.
And your cloud bed gently lowers back into your room.
And softly settles exactly where it belongs.
The sleepy star whispers one last time,
You did a wonderful job today.
And now your body can rest.
And your mind can dream.
And tomorrow will be a brand new adventure.
And the star floats back towards the window,
Up into the sky,
Adjoining the other sleepy stars.
And now your body feels heavier,
Softer,
Sleepier,
Drifting deeper and deeper into a peaceful sleep.
Good night,
Little one.
Sweet dreams.
