Hello and welcome.

You've had a big day and now it's time to rest your body and to rest your mind.

So find a cozy spot,

Snuggle in and let your eyes get sleepy.

I'm going to be telling you a gentle story about three forest friends.

An owl,

A rabbit and a fox and not to forget a very special star.

Are you ready?

Let's begin.

In a quiet forest far away from towns and cars lived three good friends.

There was Olive the owl,

Remy the rabbit and Fern the fox.

The forest was full of soft sounds,

Wind in the trees,

Crickets singing and little leaves whispering good night.

Olive the owl lived high up in an old oak tree.

She loved the nighttime,

She loved the stars and she loved the quiet.

Every night Olive would sit on her branch and watch the stars come out.

She would whisper to them,

Hello stars,

I see you.

Down below in a cozy little hole lived Remy the rabbit.

Remy was bouncy,

Remy was chatty and Remy did not like bedtime.

But what if I miss something fun?

He would say.

What if there are adventures when I'm sleeping?

His ears would wiggle,

His nose would twitch and he would stay very,

Very awake.

Fern the fox lived under a bush with soft moss and tiny flowers.

Fern liked bedtime,

She liked to curl her tail around her feet,

Close her eyes and listen to the forest breathing.

One night the moon was big and round in the sky.

The stars were twinkling all around it and Olive the owl was up in her tree.

Remy the rabbit popped out of his hole.

He yawned a big bunny yawn.

I'm not sleepy,

He said,

Even though his eyes were getting heavy.

Fern the fox lifted her head,

She smiled a small fox smile.

You look sleepy to me.

I'm not,

Said Remy,

But maybe I could listen to a story.

Olive the owl fluffed her feathers and said.

I have a story just for tonight,

It's a story about a star,

A sleepy story.

Remy and Fern lay down beneath Olive's tree.

The wind was slow and soft,

The night was still,

And then Olive began.

This story is called The Little Lost Star.

A long time ago,

All the stars were playing in the sky,

They danced and twirled and sparkled.

But one tiny star was shy,

She didn't know where to shine,

So she hid behind the moon.

And the other stars looked for her.

Where are you,

Little star,

They called.

We miss your light.

The wind searched,

The night owls flew,

But the little star stayed hidden.

Then one night,

The moon whispered.

Dear star,

It's okay to be shy,

But you don't have to be alone.

The little star peeked out from behind the moon.

She saw the sky,

She saw her friends,

And she felt something warm in her heart.

So she came out and found her place,

Right there beside the moon.

And do you know what?

She sparkled the brightest of them all.

Fern's eyes were now closed,

Her breathing,

Was soft.

Remy the rabbit whispered.

I like that star,

She was scared but brave.

Olive the owl nodded slowly.

Yes,

And you can be brave too,

Remy.

Remy curled up beside Fern,

He closed his eyes.

The trees swayed gently,

The stars kept twinkling.

Do you think I'll dream of the little star?

Remy said,

His voice sleepy.

I think you will,

Olive said.

Maybe you'll even fly beside her.

And with that,

The forest became very quiet.

The wind hummed,

The leaves whispered,

The stars watched over them all.

The end.

Good night.
