I invite you to join me in this meditation for peace.
Find yourself in a comfortable position,
Either lying down or sitting up back straight.
Relax your shoulders,
Unclench your jaw.
Breathe in deeply and exhale completely.
Feel the rhythm of your breath like waves of the ocean.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Let your body relax a little deeper and as thoughts come up,
Just recognize them and let them go.
Bringing your attention back to your breath.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Feel the warmth inside of you gathering around your heart like a soft white sphere,
Charged with a deep desire to heal.
As you breathe in,
Send your love to there,
To the sphere of white light around your heart.
As you breathe in,
Send your compassion.
Send your kindness.
Send your empathy.
Send your healing prayer to the sphere.
See the sphere grow bigger as it gets charged by your light.
This ball of light lives in your heart and now it's time to give it to the world.
Take a deep breath in,
Getting your whole body,
Mind and spirit ready to release your light.
And as you exhale,
Imagine this ball of light shining out into the world around you.
Let your light shine on your family,
On your friends,
On your neighbors,
Your country,
Your world.
Continue to see yourself shining your light,
Brighter and brighter with every breath out,
As you hear yourself silently say these words.
May I radiate compassion and peace.
May my words and actions promote unity.
May love and kindness bring peace to all.
May peace within me create peace around me.
Visualize your light now returning to you,
Warming and guiding you and blessing all around you.
Take a final deep breath in and exhale.
And when you're ready,
Return to the room.
