Welcome.
I am so glad you're here.
Today's mandala card is on the theme of free.
Before I begin,
I invite you to have a pen and journal nearby because this session will include a few quiet moments for reflection and journaling.
Now let's arrive fully into this moment.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down.
Let your shoulders relax.
Let your hands rest easily.
And gently close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Take a slow breath in through the nose and a long breath out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale,
Gathering your energy and focus inward,
And exhale,
Releasing distraction and stress.
One more breath in,
Steady and present,
Out,
Calm and clear.
Feel yourself here,
Fully present,
In this moment,
Now.
I'm going to share with you a reflection on freedom.
Freedom begins within.
It is not when everything in life is perfect,
Not when everyone understands you,
Not when you finally meet every expectation.
But it is the quiet moment when you decide,
I am allowed to be myself.
You are free to be exactly who you are.
No filters,
No apologies,
No shrinking to fit into someone else's comfort.
So often we carry invisible rules,
Making ourselves smaller,
Quieter,
More acceptable.
But freedom has something different.
It asks you to stand in your truth,
To use your voice,
To honour your preferences,
Your pace,
Your passions.
Freedom is not rebellion.
It is alignment.
It is the release of pretending.
It is the relief of no longer performing.
When you allow yourself to be real,
To be authentic,
To be fully and perfectly,
Beautifully real,
You step into your power.
Not a loud power,
A grounded one.
The kind that says,
This is me and I am enough.
And without even trying,
You inspire others,
Because when one person lives free,
It gives everyone around them permission to do the same.
Freedom begins the moment you embrace the real you and stand up for yourself and for what is right.
And that moment can be now.
Now I'll offer you a journal prompt and invite you to take a few moments to write or simply reflect.
The journal prompt today is,
Where in my life am I ready to express myself more freely,
Without apology,
Without self-editing?
I'll invite you to bring your writing and reflection to a close.
Now please join me in an affirmation.
I'll say it first and invite you to repeat it after me,
Either out loud or in your mind.
I am free to be myself.
I am free to be myself.
I release the need to shrink or perform.
I release the need to shrink or perform.
I stand in my truth with confidence and ease.
I stand in my truth with confidence and ease.
My authentic expression is powerful and welcome.
My authentic expression is powerful and welcome.
That brings our affirmation to a close.
It's time to take one final deep breath in and a long breath out.
And when you're ready,
Gently return to your day,
Carrying this energy and theme with you.
May your day be filled with authentic expression and with the use of your strong and powerful voice.
Blessings.
