Welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
This session is for anyone who's ever felt like they needed to do more,
Be more,
Or achieve more.
Before they were truly allowed to take up space.
Before they were worthy of rest and self-care.
Before they earn the right to simply be enough exactly as they are right now.
If that resonates even a little,
This practice is for you.
EFT tapping works directly with the nervous system.
And the belief that you are not enough is not just a thought we carry in our minds.
It lives in our bodies,
In the tension we hold,
In the way we shrink ourselves in certain rooms,
In the exhaustion of constantly proving something to someone,
Even when that someone is ourselves.
Tapping helps us work with that belief at the level where it actually lives,
Not by arguing with it,
Not by trying to think our way out of it,
But by gently,
Deliberately sending a signal of safety to the nervous system until the grip of that belief begins to soften.
Find a comfortable position.
Sitting with your feet on the ground.
Or sitting wherever you like.
If it feels comfortable,
Allow your eyes to close.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your hands rest wherever they feel at ease.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a long exhale out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale slowly and steadily.
And exhale fully and completely.
One more time,
Breathing in a sense of ease and openness and breathing out whatever you've been caring about who you need to be.
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Notice how you feel right now.
There may be a tightness somewhere in your body.
Perhaps the inner critic is surfacing,
Saying you should be doing something more useful than this,
Or this is self-indulgent,
That you haven't earned the right to rest and receive.
Whatever is happening for you in your mind or your body,
Just notice it.
We are not here to argue with it.
We are here to gently loosen its hold.
On a scale of 0 to 10.
Where Zero is feeling completely at ease in your own worth.
And 10 is feeling the most disconnected from it.
Unworthy.
Notice where you are right now.
Hold that number gently in your mind So we're going to start by tapping on the side of the hand on the karate chop point.
I'll say each setup statement once.
Repeat it after me,
Silently or out loud.
Even though I've been carrying this belief that I need to do more to be enough.
Even though I've been carrying this belief that I need to do more to be enough.
I choose to meet myself with kindness right now.
I choose to meet myself with kindness right now.
Even though part of me still believes I have to earn my place.
Even though a part of me still believes I have to earn my place.
I deeply and completely accept myself exactly as I am.
I deeply and completely accept myself exactly as I am.
Even though this belief has been with me for a long time.
Even though this belief has been with me for a long time.
I'm open to the possibility that I was always enough.
I'm open to the possibility.
That I was always enough.
That I have a place and I don't need to earn what is already mine.
That I have a place and that I don't need to earn what is already mine.
Stop tapping.
Let your hands rest.
And just breathe that in.
Sometimes it helps to place a hand over your heart.
Just connect in with your breath and your body.
We're now going to move into our first round of tapping.
So bring in your fingers to the inner edge of your eyebrow.
Begin tapping gently and repeat after me.
This belief that I have to earn my worth.
This belief that I have to earn my worth.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
The exhaustion of always trying to be enough.
The exhaustion of always trying to be enough.
Tapping under the eye.
The feeling that I'm still not quite there.
The feeling that I'm still not quite there.
Tapping under the nose,
No matter how much I do.
No matter how much I do.
Tapping on the chin.
This quiet voice that says,
Not yet.
Not quite.
Not enough.
This quiet voice that says not yet,
Not quite,
Not enough.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I've been carrying this for such a long time.
I've been carrying this for such a long time.
Tapping under the arm.
It has shaped so much of how I move through the world.
It has shaped so much of how I move through the world.
And tapping on the top of the head.
I see it clearly now.
And I'm here with it.
I see it clearly now.
And I'm here with it.
Stop tapping.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Let it go.
We'll move into round two of our tapping.
So starting again with the eyebrow,
Tapping and repeating after me.
What if this belief was never actually true?
What if this belief was never actually true?
Tapping on the side of the eye.
What if it was handed to me by a world that measures worth by output?
What if it was handed to me by a world that measures worth by output?
Tapping under the eye?
What if I absorbed it so young I forgot it wasn't mine?
What if I absorbed it so young,
I forgot it wasn't mine?
Tapping under the nose.
I am allowed to question it now.
I am allowed to question it now.
Tapping on the chin.
My worth was never something I needed to prove.
My worth was never something I needed to prove.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I'm releasing the standard that was never truly mine to meet.
I'm releasing the standard that was never truly mine to meet.
Tapping under the arm,
I am allowed to take up space right now,
Exactly as I am.
I'm allowed to take up space,
Right now,
Exactly as I am.
And tapping on the top of the head.
Something in me already knows this.
I am letting it come forward.
Something in me already knows this.
I am letting it come forward.
Stop tapping.
Take a slow breath in.
And a long exhale out.
Notice what's shifting in your body.
There may be a softening around your chest or shoulders,
A slight loosening of something that has been held tightly for a very long time.
Even the smallest release is real.
We'll move now into our final round of tapping,
Starting with the eyebrow.
I was always enough.
I was always enough.
Happy on the side of the eye.
My worth is not something I earn.
It is something I already carry.
My worth is not something I earn.
It is something I already carry.
Tapping under the eye.
I'm allowed to rest in that.
I'm allowed to rest in that.
Tappy under the nose.
I don't have to prove anything to anyone,
Including myself.
I don't have to prove anything to anyone.
Including myself.
Tapping on the chin.
I take up space because I belong here.
I am worthy just as I am.
I take up space because I belong here.
I am worthy,
Just as I am.
Tapping on the collarbone,
I moved through my days from a place of worth,
Not in pursuit of it.
I move through my days from a place of worth,
Not in pursuit of it.
Tapping under the arm.
I am enough right now in this moment as I am.
I am enough right now.
In this moment as I am.
Tapping on the top of the head.
I value myself and I love myself deeply.
I value myself and I love myself deeply.
Continuing to tap on the top of the head.
I am worthy of my own love,
Right now,
Just as I am.
I am worthy of my own love,
Right now,
Just as I am.
Stop tapping.
Take a long,
Slow breath in.
You may want to place your hands above your heart as you do this.
And release your breath out completely.
Breathe in again.
Just bask in that sense of worth and love.
And breathe out.
Letting go of any stress or judgment.
Let your hands rest gently wherever they feel comfortable.
Let your face and your shoulders soften completely.
Take a moment to check back in with that number from the beginning,
From 0 to 10.
Notice where you are now.
Notice the distance between where you started and where you are in this moment.
That shift,
However small it feels,
Is your nervous system beginning to release a belief that it was never meant to carry.
I'll share a closing affirmation now.
Repeated after me silently or out loud.
I am enough exactly as I am.
I am enough exactly as I am.
My worth is not determined by what I produce,
Achieve,
Or prove.
My worth is not determined by what I produce,
Achieve,
Or prove.
I take up space because I belong here.
I take up space because I belong here.
And I move through my days for a place of worth,
Not in pursuit of it.
And I moved through my days from a place of worth,
Not in pursuit of it.
Take one more breath in and let it go fully.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
You can return to this practice whenever the old belief rises.
Whenever the voice of not enough gets loud.
Whenever you notice yourself striving for worthiness that was already yours.
You don't have to earn your place.
You never did.
Take good care of yourself today.
