She thought she knew it all,
She thought she had a plan,
She didn't want to conform,
She was gonna do it her way.
College,
Marriage,
Career,
Family,
They were not for her.
She lived life in the moment,
It was not always easy.
Everyone told her she would fail,
Everyone told her she was wrong,
Everyone told her she was not enough.
Not what men wanted,
Not what her family wanted,
Not what society wanted.
She struggled to find her place,
She struggled to find her community,
She struggled to make a living.
So eventually she gave in,
She did what she needed to survive.
She worked the jobs,
She met the people,
She conformed,
She went back to school,
She got a career.
She felt lost,
She felt disconnected.
She knew who she was and she couldn't understand why everyone couldn't see it,
Why everyone else didn't know themselves the same way,
Why everyone else was so caught up in the story,
The narrative of what was being given to them.
She knew the feeling of pure joy,
Of absolute bliss emanating from her heart.
She wanted everyone to feel that way.
She couldn't understand the resistance.
She wanted to radiate all of the love in her heart to everyone else.
She thought if they could feel what she feels,
There would be no hate,
There would be no war,
There would be no sides,
There would be no division,
There would only be acceptance,
Humility,
Humanity,
And empathy.
Regardless of your beliefs,
Because we are all one.
We are all from God.
We are all from source.
We are all from the divine.
We are all here to have a human experience.
